like i said...i didn't look at any spoilers nor previews.
i didn't want to be spoiled.
trailers are notorious for giving away plot points such as terminator 2's
trailer years ago giving away the fact that arnold was there to protect
instead of to kill john.
one point i'd like to mention.
guspaz said that if someone doesn't want to know
the premise of the show before watching it, they shouldn't be reading the
comments about the show.
i get threatened with a banning for revealing a person did a good
impersonation on a show featuring impersonators
as far as i'm concerned...that's not much of a spoiler
revealing the major plot point of a series premiere = spoiler
one last thing i forgot to mention
the reason i feel i could look at the comments for this show is the
intolerance for spoilers. i didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to
reveal something major even if it was, apparently, known by everyone else but
myself.
i didn't read this thread before watching, so i was surprised (a bit) that
summer was a terminator. we don't all live in the states (or wherever the
trailer was shown) so we don't all know about that 'obvious' fact.
i agree with oobaka that, in this case, this is a major spoiler, not to be
expected in the threads about a specific episode. i believe i read a while ago
that spoilers are not permitted in these threads until the episode was at
least three months old (admin, please correct me if i'm wrong here).
i, for one, usually check these threads (on a specific episode) to see if
there are problems/issues with the quality of the release itself and could
(almost) always count on not finding spoilers here.
since there are seldom spoilers found here, i assume a lot of you also hope to
not find spoilers here, which is why i find it strange that a lot of people
give oobaka 'hell' for his grievance. as i said before: we don't all live in
the us.
i thought this was a very good pilot, my only gripe is that the actress that
plays sarah conner is way too hot and about 6 minutes older then her son. summer
glau is fab. fox will no doubt decide to cancel it if it is anything less then a
massive ratings hit, but it will still be fun to watch till then.
ps: who else suspects that cyberdine systems was able to "renew" their ai
program as a result of what was left in the bank vault at the end of this
episode? paradox's make my anus hurt.
keep the pre air, the network are concerned about the school shooting scene and
are gonna change it for ep 1 so the pre air will be the original, the makers are
not happy about having to change it
yeah, whining bastard execs. "oh, we can't have high school violence in our
show that was made before the virginia tech shooting, that is going to be shown
nine months after the event". grow the hell up, already. life goes on.
surprisingly good, this one, even if it does play fast and loose with the
timeline (no way is john a 14 year old freshman, which is what he'd be in
1999). i'm looking forward to it.
