let me get this straight.
about a month or two ago i make a comment that someone did a really good
impression of howard stern on the show the next best things which is a show
about celebrity impersonators.
people considered it a spoiler.
i was called stupid and was even threatened with being banned.
but toekneebullard gives away a major plot point that river tam (summer glau)
is a terminator and no one says a frigging thing?
what the hell is that all about?
i didn't see any previews...i didn't read any spoilers so i didn't know summer
glau was a terminator but this person can get away with telling me, and
everyone else, the major plot twist in the series premiere but i can't mention
that someone does a great impersonation on a show about impersonators.
someone needs to take a refresher course on the rules.
to say that i'm very peeved off is an understatement

i agree, this is fairly common knowledge. it's been in the news, it's been seen
in the previews/clips, it's been one of most discussed things about this series.
it's not our fault if somebody lives under a rock. if they don't want to know
the premise of the show before watching it, they shouldn't be reading the
comments about the show.

the movie was ripped in the format that was given so a widescreen was out of the
question..other problems exist so in the scene it would/should have been
considered nuked... unfortunately time became a factor and you just have to roll
with what you have sometimes... hopefully fox listens to the critique and
changes some of the pilot around for the better...

potential, so long as every episode is not action action action. besides at some
point hes gonna kiss the robot, and what nerd hasn't waited a life time to see
that on network tv. i give this episode a 6/10 but the shows potential a 9/10 we
will have to see where it goes from here, but ill keep watching.

tons of action = subwoofing pounding, speaking blasting, loud awesome experience

i'm inclined to agree - this has potential.
anyone who says "no arnie, no good" is a dunce...
did sg1 have james spader or kurt russell in it ? nooop... we have movies, and
then we have tv series. god forbid, if the actors in the original sg movie had
prevailed in the series, it would have not lasted 1 season. rick, amanda,
michael and christopher *made* sg1. without them, it would have not worked imho.
yet it was one of the best sci fi's ever to be presented to the public of this
planet and it was and will always be what stargate is to me... sg1 is the
startrek of the modern age.
atlantis with the wraith, sg universe and whatever that entails... are nothing
more than spin offs, despite atlantis now being right up there. atlantis is now
my staple sg fix. i am endeared to those characters almost as much as i was to
the sg1 team.
i like my sci fi shows... sorry..
so for the nay sayers, hold your horses, its a series, not a tv movie. no arnie,
continuation will be swayed to fit the stories, and give the damn thing a
chance. or it will be those who go "no way" for no reason, who kill it.
so far, i liked it..
i especially liked little miss yum yum naked from behind when sarah says "you
better holster those things" making her put her bra back on... *drooool*
ooooohhhh.. im such a .. per, err sci fi lover...
