the show is weak sauce. it had lots of potential, but the acting is horrid and
the characters are not cast right. i really wish they got it right, but they
certainly succeeded in making look like a shitty drama sitcom with a shit plot
that we already know the ending to.

oh, and the effects were better in the 80's original. :/

i thought it was surprisingly good.

maybe because i was expecting a complete crap fest, since the trailer/commercial
that i've seen for it previously was horrible, but it took some interesting
turns plot wise and the acting was fine. summer glau is a little off sometimes,
but otherwise the acting is fine.

worth a watch.

it's sort of disappointing that this release isn't widescreen. all promotional
material (trailers/clips) is, so it seems like this version is cutting off the
left/right parts of the image, no?

not that i'm complaining to get it five months early, it's just too bad is all.

i thought this show was just ok, nothing special.

i think they should re-shoot the "bad guy terminator" scenes, he just didnt look
badass enough to be a terminator imo.
river tam was ok in the pilot, again, nothing special...

ill watch this show in the fall and give it a chance to get better.

yes 4:3 is normally taking the 16:9 pic of some ar and cropping the sides to 4:3
but carefully.
but yeah its just fs this one ep. in january this will be on fox for 16:9 hdtv rips.

that was exactly the point where i got interested too! if she kicked ass while
being brainiac human, watching those 2..5x bigger guys fly around her will be
mostly the main appeal of the show!
