all the tv shows you get from here will eventually be released on dvd so i fail
to see how this is any different.

lol you people make me laugh, u dl borderline legal stuff then
have the cheek to
tell them what they can put on their own site, what the hell is it to do with
you anyway? if you don't like it, don't download it.. its that simple.
i eztv
i don't think it is "borderline"...
anyway i don't care, and i'm very thankful for the existence of eztv - i also
eztv.

your mouth.

hrmmm ... yes and no.
it's the summer tv drought, so all the inmates here are getting all fractious
and irritable cos there's little good new content to keep them distracted from
chewing the wallpaper and pulling the legs off of insects and starting random
idiocy.
on the other hand ... it's also argumentative in busier release schedule
periods becasue we get a much greater number of visitors.
according to the good old 80:20 rule of life, 20% of the visitors will be
complete fuckwits, but they shout much longer, louder and more often than the
80% of non-dickheads.
in short ... yeah. i guess it is like this most of the time - just
about different subjects

are you also color blind? the admins user names are of a different color than
everyone else.
yes i am color blind thank you very much.
i went to dl this thinking that maybe it was a bbc original series like narnia
was or hitchhikers guide. i was pretty surprised to come to realize it was a
audiobook. not that i mind audiobooks i just wish i woulda had some warning.
but as a result i have something new to listen to on my psp while at work so
thanks.
i have my own site and i post whatever the hell i want to on that site and dare
anyone to tell me to do so otherwise for they would find themselves banned in a
hurry.
we visit this site to find what we need or want to download. eztv is nice
enough to allow us to do so free without banners or popups or active x spyware
bs trying to install on our system. if they want to post a movie and/or
audiobook or pics of their kids or a recipes for brownies with no eggs then
their going to do it.
you can either shut up and get over it or get the hell out.
it's really not a hard choice.

i am extremely excited to see this book up as a torrent and personally i don't
care if this is a "tv only" site or whether its piracy or not. i'm just glad
that i have an opportunity to download my all time favorite books.

hello, i was wondering if "his dark materials northern lights 005_part one
oxford.mp3" is the first file to start with? the 005_part one kinda threw me
off. if it's the first file, is there any reason why it doesn't start with 001?
thanks for the upload too.

it's all good now, sorry for the temporary scare! winrar acted up or something.
double-clicked the .r00, and winrar spat out 005 - 225. decided to double-click
the .rar, and files 001 - 225 were unpacked.
on a related note, is that a known bug with winrar? or is it a feature? i
double-clicked .r03, and it unpacked 018 - 225.
once again, thanks for the upload!

the exact same thing happened to me as well. when i unpacked i was missing
001-004. i guess i'm used to just double clicking the top file, the one with
.rar extension was at the bottom.

i created eztv why shouldn't i be allowed to post whatever i "damn want"? as far
as everything else you've said i believe i have already provided appropriate
answers.
maybe you're sorting through the wrong stuff?
no well you didn't really say why you think a) an audiobook of a book that is
being turned into a movie is relevant to a tv dist. site, whether you created
the site or not or b) this particular audiobook is more relevant or more
important or more deserving of an eztv tracker than audiobooks of the books that
have actually been made into tv series.
as for you creating the site, well kudos, it's a great site. i love eztv, i'm
not saying eztv is shit. i just think that if you create a site and have these
rules and ideas about what purpose it serves within a bt community then you
should probably follow these rules. if anything, because you created the site,
because you wrote the faq and because you're an admin maybe you should be
expected to follow those rules more closely than anyone else?
otherwise it kinda sounds like you're a despot. hello fascism...
and yes, i could just not select to d/l the .torrent. which i haven't done,
you're right, easy solution. but my response isn't about the content of this
particular torrent, it's about violating the original premise of eztv by
torrenting non-tv files. as other people have said, there are plenty of large
trackers out there for non-tv.
as others have also mentioned, it could (it probably won't, but it could) turn
into a snowball effect. you start with this, how long before someone else or
yourself decide to upload the harry potter books? or even those books i've
mentioned? or the actual ebooks themselves? the harry potter games and -
eventually - the northern lights movie and the northern lights game (i'm sure
there will be one).
you're an intelligent person, and you've done alot for this site. but that
doesn't mean that no-one's allowed to contribute their own feelings about issues
related to the site and the tracker, or that no-one is allowed to criticise you.
