get the vtv release by group blnt, this eztv release is missing the first

hi i am downloading this now. thanks eztv once again. my problem and i hope
some of you nice folk can help as i downloaded a file the other day in h.264
format, now i keep backups of everything because i rewatch quite often and
what i want to do is convert this excellent copy in h264 to dvd and i cant
find anything to do it with. it plays beautifully on the pc but as i said i
want a dvd backup to watch on my big screen. can anyone help. cheers hc

i have a zensonic which i paid $40 for any it plays all xvid/divx on my telly.

as far as i'm aware the zensonic plays xvid but not divx.

hcstargate, since stand alone player dont support x264/h264 you have to convert
it. try installing coreavc codecs and use convertxtodvd (just a guess)
but these files on eztv for this show are xvid not x264. the 350mb x264 files
are elsewhere (tracked by demonoid but spread around to other public sites too)
if a dvd player can play xvid then it should be able to play divx and
ms-mpeg4v1-3 (they are all about the same format in the end just different
encoding methods that make each one better or worse)
my number 1 objection to divx dvd players is overscan. it'll take your 1.77:1 ar
file and crop it to 1.65:1 or worse.

hi, i'm getting the green screen throughout this whole release too, like some of
the other people who have replied.
i use mpc and the cccp codec pack. i need some help? i really want to watch
this. i tried disabling all internal filters, and still get the green screen.
all the other tv shows i've downloaded here still play fine (i rechecked all 25
i've leeched this month, just to make sure).
with a bunch of comments concerning the same problem with this file are we
*sure* there not something wrong with it?

kind of why i hate stand alone players as well, the player crops some, then
your tv crops a little more, on a 4:3 tv you end up with something half way
between 16:9 and 4:3, not great if you like to see the whole picture.
some of the guys who rush out and grab the x264 rips are in for a shock, the
reason the scene does not use it for everything is support is thin at best,
when you rip and encode something it's better to use something 'everyone' can
play.
and for xbmc guys like me, x264 is a bit heavy duty for it, expect jerky
playback, and it can crash if you try and skip forwards or back...
does anyone know what was said in the first 10 seconds or so on this rip?, i
don't feel like downloading another version...
