i knew vlc could do that, but i thought only on sequentially downloaded files,
not the randomness of torrents. since what you have is in scattered pieces all
over the place, i'm baffled how it can play. what happens, does it start at a
random spot?
and does this ep have the ctv logo? i'm still trying to figure out how it
appeared on newsgroups almost 12 hours before air even in canada. maybe a
screener? or pulled off a satellite?

vlc can only play when you actually download the first part of the video
sometimes if you have enough you can skip around a little
this episode has the ctv logo it came out tonight
kinda weird with the usenet thing since this didn't pre until 9:18pm est
lost.s03e15.hdtv.xvid-sorny nuked:
not.fine_audio.glitches_one.pass.encode_get.xor.proper
that xor one was pre spam unfortunately .

this episode is 100% watchable.
there are 2 or 3 slight glitches, where the video skips by a fraction of a
second. contrary to rumours, there are no sync issues (for me anyway - with
winxp/vlc player.)
great episode, and like i said -- 100% watchable.

i just checked out the first piece of the usenet version of this release, and
it's a new episode alright. and it's ctv. my only guess is that someone
captured a so-called "wild feed," which i think is when a network (in this case
ctv) transmits (before air) a given program to its affiliates. i haven't seen
that sort of thing happen in a long time, though it used to happen regularly
with "buffy."

ugh, it's bad.
when they move i see grey, the colour is a frame behind the luminance.
anyone else notice this?

"ugh, it's bad.

i thought my gfx card was givin' out on me in 2d mode as well!! :'(
now, i know it's just a poor quality release. i never thought i'd be so happy to
see a "nuked" release! :d
lots of color splitting. looks like it was recorded via vhs.
still very watchable, though.

holy crap, am i confused. i have been dling shows from here for months (thank
you, encoders & seeders but i"m not familiar with the terms "nuked"
and "unnuked". i'm gonna assume that nuked means it's messed up, unnuked means
fine.
we seem to have people giving so called definitive answers going both ways,
saying it's perfectly fine and also that there's significant glitches. i don't
know how that's possible.
i really don't want to sound like just some whiner, but i wish there could be
a final straight answer. i'm trying to decide whether or not i should just
start dling the 700mb version, which i never do, the 350mb is perfectly fine
for me on my quality monitor, but if that's unquestioned, i dunno... :/

i noticed 2 or 3 or 4 times where the video jumped or went black. i don't know
why there are these, but isn't it caused by the source tv channel ?
