thanks. i've seen that article and my machine matches it perfectly... except for the dht - which i have disabled for several reasons. i'll just grab the ep from a working tracker edit: actually - the tracker is working now... but it says the torrent isn't registered. |

i found that there are plenty of seeders (~50) and decent speeds on the follow tracker: http://tracker.zerotracker.com:2710/announce as for dht, i've found that either my router or firewall or isp (or something) doesn't like it - and with it enabled i'm forever having issues with speeds and work vpn software staying connected. plus, you know, if a torrent is actually registered with the tracker that's in the .torrent file, there usually ain't a problem cheers. |

there's a simple way to avoid this problem, and that's to know your release type. a few shows release in the same way, so just be aware. the episode that comes fresh (hours after broadcast) is a dsr release straight off sci-fi. all the other releases come off a different channel a few days later, and are all various hdtv releases. if you're getting multiple copies of the same show in utorrent, make sure you've got the release type (quality) and that you've checked 'smart ep. filter' (or set the minimum interval). |

i think you ought to be responsible for yourself enough to keep track of what you watch and what files you have downloaded and then deleted. to ask eztv to do that for you by interfering in other folks' ability to find new files is just juvenile. not everyone has the same downloading and watching habits as you do. the list of latest uploads was never meant to be a tv guide, it's what's been uploaded. files in time order. not in broadcast order. if you want to lobby for a separate listing based on broadcast order, an "eztv-for-dummies" list, feel free to do so. if you explain it well and it turns out that you get lots of support from other folks who need their hands held too, maybe someone will feel generous compassion for all the eztv dummies and build it for you. until then... if you want to keep track of what files you used to have after you have downloaded them, on windoze you can just drag a shortcut to the file in the same folder and then delete the original file. the shortcut will have the same name and will let you know what used to be there. presumably you put all your sga files in the same folder, so when it comes time to click "save", you will be able to see that the same episode number is already in the list and you can click cancel instead. i hope this helps, aristo |
