the humble slab. the true national currency of australia!! some tree loppers were cutting down a huge tree from a vacant block a couple of doors down, so i asked them if i could come and pick up the logs for the fire. they said it should be right, but they'd confirm it with the boss, and come and tell me. well they came over letting me know i should come now to start bringing it over. but for a slab, the boys would load it onto their truck and deliver it in my driveway. so now i have about 2 tons of wood in the drive, the boys have a nice cold slab, and we're all happy.

talking about nintendo ds. bloody bastards!!!!!!! my 10yo son has been chomping at the bits to get a ds, but due to our finances, we have been unable to accomodate him. so in an attempt to get him what he wants, i asked anyone who was willing to get him a gift voucher for xmas. great! most did, so he had enough to buy himself a ds. and for his birthday (which is a couple of days after xmas, poor kid) we agreed that we would buy him one of those sd chippy thingies. only problem is.....no one has ds's in stock!!!! nothing, nada, zip. i went to a store today, saw one in the display cabinet and thought halleluyah!! but no, apparently they got some in last week, but they sold out within 3 hours!!!!!! what the hell is wrong with nintendo. start producing, god damn it. come on, spit them out for heaven's sake. |
