well, i downloaded from http://d01.megashares.com/?d01=e851f3f but it stopped
at 300 megs:/, hopefully i managed to add it into bitcomets session & it
finished it up after hashing:)

@joe88: u think that everybody`s got dsl???

@imzadi: "... piss people off" hahaha that is a good one;p torrent is great
solution (best of p2p) but if there`s such possibility the megashare /
megaupload or simmilar services are the fastest way to download "huge" files;)
so if rapidshare has a limit up to 100 megs per file so i suggest that u use the
other services such as those i mensioned before (megashare / megaupload etc)
that have less restrict limit like 500mb;)...

deathender,
if i upped them i'd consider using another service.. but my upload speed is too
slow. these are from various forums. mainly projectw.

you really should consider getting a premium account.. you can download more or
less all you can eat and max out your line.

yah, scifi doesn't broadcast in hd.

you can encode closed captions in avi files, but don't hold your breath for that
to happen. if you want you can do it yourself, but there aren't going to be any
releases like that. generally people just use external subtitle files like .srt
or .sub or ...

sky one airs bsg in hd, so you might expect hr hd from them later on. i'm not
sure if they're out there yet or not. also, universial hd aired a few episodes
of bsg. total shame they didn't continue to do it (or at least i haven't seen
them anywhere). the quality of bsg in hr hd is astounding. just a totally
different experience. cannot wait until it comes out on blue-ray/hd-dvd!

doh, i see what you mean about the closed captions. i misunderstood you.
technically it should be possible, but i've never seen broadcast cc get ripped.
i'm unaware of any readily available program that can decode the cc and then
encode them in a format useful for us.

i remember when farscape: the peacekeeper wars was ripped that some guys had
ripped the cc feed and posted the 'transcript' online even before video was
available to download (a lot of us were reading the 'transcript' beforehand
because we were diehard fans and couldn't wait). i have googled to no avail to
find a cc ripping site, but it would be really really cool if one existed
(converting cc to .srt or .sub would be ideal, encoding to the video is always
a minus to me).

i have always thought it would be so great to get the cc in on the .avi's as
well. if one uses windows media center to record a show, would that make it
easier to keep the cc...i know the files are different...and i can't for the
life of me figure out how to use the external cc files with vlc or windows
media player.

anyway, i also wondered a couple other things. one is does anyone know of an
alternative way to get ahold of the folks who run wrestling-torrents.com? their
site appears to be down and i had posted a question in their forums. since i
can't get to their forums to see the answer i will now post the question here.

other than the rapidshare restriction on file size, what other reason would
there be for putting out split rar files on shows like wwe raw and smackdown,
just on torrent pages like mininova? i mean, if one wishes to archive the
shows, winzip and winrar are readily and freely available, compatible with most
computer setups, and easy enough to use, where as i've found avi encoders and
dvd burning programs are usually not freely available and can be somewhat
incompatible and difficult to use, buggy too. if anyone can fill me in on why
all the .rar's, i'd appreciate being informed. tyvm i am
[email protected], be sure to put eztv in subject or i will think it's spam.

aydin1954, hey man, i have those same problems, you can report them in the bug
reports thread on the forums: http://eztvefnet.org/?forum=view_thread&tid=32

probably already reported, though, i haven't read the whole thread. the login
issue may be with my browser (i use opera), so i never really had the desire to
report it.
