bingo. i've often wondered why file sizes are still determined by cd sizes.
dvd sizes make more sense. a dvd can hold 12.8 350-mb files (read: 12 files) or
25.6 175-mb files (really 25 files).

why not lower the bitrates slightly (344mb/file would do it) so that a dvd holds
13 episodes or raise them slightly (373mb/file) to improve quality, yet still
fit 12 episodes on one disc?
