for the benefit of those of us who have been wondering these last few hours why
it'll take us twice as long to download and eat up twice as much of any
bandwidth limits we may have, could you please explain the "scene rule" that
doubles the size of the file for an extra ten minutes? it really doesn't seem
to make a lot of sense.
thanks, by the way. better twice the size than not at all.
i have tried to download this ep three times and it shows the tracker is down
(timed out) it is showing only 81 seeds and i can't connect to any of them.
surely there is something wrong as in may when i downloaded this show there
were 10,000 + seeds. is everyone else experiencing the same thing as me?
edit : anyway, it's the same tracker as the one stated in mininova for the eztv
torrent so forget what i said (+ i have found a 1.19 mb/s source on irc so i shd
have it in less than 10 mins ... :d).
these scene rules are outdated. i bet hardly no one uses cd's to burn these
anymore, so why are we sticking with 4 year old rules? just pick a bitrate to
agree on and make the size whatever...
do you not read any posts in this thread before typing?
i already posted why it's 700mb.
well considering that the site kept telling me that there was too much load to
start a discussion, and then when it finally let me, it said it was starting it,
leading me to believe that i was going to be the first poster, no, i didn't read
all the other posts "ahead" of me at that time.
under normal circumstances, like when it shows me other posts, i would have read
them. so excuse you very much.
first off, as i think someone pointed out, the cutoff is 50 minutes. to correct
whoever said these rules are 4 years old, they are two years old, and now
orlydb says that the fqm proper has be nuked for improper size as it is only
350 mb.
also, there is a yestv hr release, but as there are a ton of shows out this
week, i wouldn't expect eztv to put up all three versions of heroes.
