agreed the writing has taken a big hit. really lacking in testosterone, and to
many vagina dialogs...it wasn't even february yet last week was not much more
than a valentine's day special.
zoe and her dad carter find new loves... allyson and nathan reconcile....pour a
little sugar on it...
thank the powers that fall season is starting soon.
what can one say about this episode?
hmm? what's the word?
oh i know. retarded!
in a town full of the most genius of geniuses were they to really attend a house
of worship most of them would be heading to a synagogue, a hindu or chinese
temple.

only around 55% (poll few years ago) of "genius scientists" are atheist/agnostic
and tons have been lead to god by studying real science stuff (not stuff in
show/other tv). but plenty still reject cause god means some rules (unknowingly
beneficial in long run) and they don't want that.
"this ep was pretty good but this season is kinda hit and miss for me. the
writing really took a dive this season imo."
that i agree with, this was my favorite show last year but now its just in the
average show category.
re: only around 55% (poll few years ago) of "genius scientists" are atheist/agnostic
provide links or name the study. until demonstrated otherwise i find your
statistics extremely suspect.
in any event i was also commenting on the unrealistic and in fact patently false
representation of geniuses and religion.
about 30% of nobel science prize winners are jewish. go to jet propulsion lab,
cal tech or any variety of high profile research institutes and you will almost
consistently find a a high concentration of jewish, indian, and chinese
individuals.
all these people are conspicuously absent in eureka to the point that it is
impossible to suspend belief. add to that the supposed biggest geniuses in the
world confronted with a few mysteries suddenly abandon all rational and critical
thinking their lifelong scientific standards and pursuit of scientific inquiry
for superstitious and divine explanation of unexplained phenomena.
yeah retarded is how i would decribe this episode. and that is being really
generous.
what you guys really need to focus on is the fact that if you all don't stop
being whiney bitches and stfu, yet another show is going to be dumped.
the fact is, whether or not all of you connoisseurs (yeah.... my fucking arse)
agree whether this particular eps writing is up to your standards or not (and
whether your standards are actually worth a damn is a topic of some speculation!),
this show is still one the best things on tv.
videoopiate...you've all gotta learn to take the good with the bad.. moaning
sessions like these over individual episodes are what sways the tv companies..
either to scrap the shows or to change the writing (usually to make it even more
accessible... read lame and dumb).
as for the story itself.. it wasn't particularly bad (except to the anti religious)
and can even certainly be said to have raised the question where does god meet
science.. where does one end and the other begin, after all science may just be
god's method of organising everything.
dude, religion effectively died 400 years ago when the catholic church went into
banking, or what about the vatican's treaty of non interference during wwii. the
catholic religion has more blood (and organised criminal acts) on it's hand than
any other organisation, private or government, that has ever existed on the face of
the earth. i am anti-organised religion but that doesn't exlude metaphysical realms.
