crime, forensics and romance are blended together to tell the tale of ned (lee
pace), a young man with a unique ability -- he can touch dead things and bring
them back to life. ned uses his ability in many ways, from ripening fruit to
helping solve murders by having the deceased tell him who the killer was. but
ned's tale isn't always happily ever after. when ned uses his ability to bring
his childhood sweetheart, chuck (anna friel), back to life, she encourages him
to use his power to help people, but there's a catch in their seemingly perfect
life -- if ned touches chuck again she'll once again die, and ned wouldn't be
able to bring her back.

omg! eztv rocks more than ever! this preair stuff is awesome! i think that
networks do this on purpose to get a sneak peak of possible ratings and get

i'm sure this is going to be really good.

great pilot to a great looking show! a must see for coming season!

it's a 4:3 effort, in this case quite obviously an analogue capture from a dvd
recorder - the standard panasonic "play" on-screen dialog box at the start is a
giveaway.

wow, i didn't expect this to be here this early! thanks eztv

i feel it tried a bit too hard to be quirky and culty. the gift sure has a lot
of comic potential. however, the narrative, music, camera style, cartoonesque
characters, decor, it all is a bit much for what is basically a fairly
straightforward detective story. there are just so many 'detectives with a gift'
clones out there right now i didn't really feel this one had the magic touch. i
didn't think it was as funny as dead like me, nor as stylish as carnivale - it
was somewhere in between. personally, i think i will watch it for a while
longer, but i won't download it the minute it's posted. if you really liked the
movie big fish, or are just looking for something different - or if you love
pie, give it a chance.

p.s. these pre-airs are amazing. quality is good. you know you guys have better
programming than most paid channels at the moment, right? much appreciated.

the networks do do it on purpose. but, it's not just eztv, they are uploaded
everywhere often sooner than eztv.

this show was okay, but it's not going to be very high on my priority list.

i would be surprised if it lasted a full season.
