no there is no way around the password. you need to to have access to the router
setup pages and for this you need it. in case the groveling works then have him
publish the ports 49152 to 65534 to your pc's ip address (you need to set it to
a fix one not get one from dhcp) so that you have the correct choice of ports to
set in utorrent.

the internet gateway has nothing to do with this, it is i believe used by the
microsoft firewall. i removed it with no problems from my pc as i use another
firewall.

ah, thanks for clearing that up then! i just assumed it had something to do
with the internet gateway because last time i fixed the port problem, it was in
network connections.

my dad is not like that! he just has a password on for security's sake. i'll
just get him to log on and i'll make the changes. can i just put in the
specific port i currently have on utorrent? or do i have to put in a range?

have you at least tried to enable upnp in utorrent? (or any other software)

i had upnp enabled in utorrent, but i found it slowed down the speeds due to
my crappy port problem. argh...i wish i could just have that damn tick back!!!

let me just make my first ever post here by saying thanks to all involved in
bringing this and all the other tv shows you bring us.
seems with sites/groups like you lot, the net evolves. tv shows are available
from your site and are catalogued, even rated. no doubt lots will attempt to
imitate but none will be as good 😉
