please someone, for all that is good and holy
in the
world....help me!

i have had a perfectly fine connection with utorrent in the past - d/l speeds
around 240 kb/s. now for some reason, i am not getting a green tick in the
status bar, but a freakin yellow triangle!
i don't have a clue what's caused this, but i can't get the tick back. i have
a port that was open last time i checked. the internet gateway is not showing
up in network connections so i don't know what to do!!
normally i would use that to check to see if everything's fine with the port,
but i cannot access it! maybe that's what is causing the problem?
please can someone tell me how to fix this problem as i cannot get the new
lost episodes until i've sorted it out!
thank you!

ps. i'm on windows xp home, with windows firewall (with utorrent in the
exceptions), and on a wireless connection (that's been perfectly fine until
recently).

that means that for one reason or another your port is blocked. it may be that
your isp is blocking it or if you have random choice active one is chosen that
is not in the forwarded port list of your router. thus i will check that. i use
ports in the range of 49k to 53k, put that range in the router list and then
manually switch port once in a while in that range.

thank you so much for responding.
my current port has always been 20979 and the other day i checked in the
internet gateway and it was the same, therfore it was perfectly fine. but now,
i can't see the ig to know if it is okay! how else can i check the router's
list of open ports?

here are instructions on how to port forward on routers:

is the tracker down? or maybe just overloaded? i'm downloading ep 22, but 23
is, so far, a no go.

i can't get to either, the tracker is offline for both...

do like me, subscribe to a cheap usenet provider and get it as fast as your
internet link is...

no more leeches slowing me down... ;-)
(or me slowing down others lol)

god i love usenet...

(i only use eztvefnet as a directory for new releases, very useful!)

i don't actually have access to the router's settings, so i can't port forward!
what else can i do?

what do you mean you do not have access to the router
settings???? if you do not
there is nothing you can do. or maybe you can start collecting stamps...

oh, well my dad actually has a password on the wireless router settings (it's
a linksys wrt54gl) so i can't personally access it. i'll have to get him to.
my only hope at this stage is that he might have changed something recently
which is why it went from being fine to not.
is there any way to bypass the password thing? maybe this has caused the
internet gateway to disappear from network connections.
