the whole "cartoons suck, anime as awesome" bit is tired. i can't believe it still persists. there is plenty of morning and after-school anime for kids that is more comparable to cartoons, but i can't really see any western anime geek getting excited over doraemon or anpanman unless they are really hard core japanophiles. it's comparing cartoons with children's themes to anime with mature themes. in terms of one thing sucking more than another, at best anime could be compared to something like heavy metal, but beyond that there really aren't many adult-themed cartoons i can think of. it's only natural to enjoy shows for older audiences more as you grow up. that said, i'm an adult and the gummi bears still rock. god, you know the kinky stuff isn't meant for kid audiences, right? not even sailor moon was. |

if you\'re god... ... can you please tell this englishman stranded forever in the televisual dead-zone that is france why there are absolutely no shows on worth watching at the moment? lost 24 dexter terminator weeds breaking bad curb your enthusiasm prison break flight of the conchords i could go on... as you can see i\'ll watch virtually any old crap. i\'m now reduced to kyle xy and veronica mars (in fact i\'ve finished that - i\'ll miss you \'ronnie!): i\'m 35 ffs! i\'ve started to watch reaper as a last resort, it\'s okay i suppose. so, you\'ll be happy to hear that there\'s no \"thanks from france\", just a \"sort your act out america\". |

yes, thank you. weeds is goodly. i'll even watch er. but that's not on. or maybe csi, that neither. heroes, no.... is it the summer season of shit? is that how things work? |

well summer's always been a down time for shows in the states. it's a generally accepted fact.. one that i don't care to stick my hand into and i hope you respect my decision on that as it is final. |

i saw a bus load of girls in hooters apparel stuck on side of road on my way to work this morning. it was stop and go traffic and i had my windows rolled down. i asked if any of them wanted a ride jokingly. one of the girls recognized me.. said she went to high school with me. i got her name and it sounded familiar. she was some chick that was out of my league back in high school hehe. so i pulled over to the shoulder and we got to talking. she was actually a model and this hooters gig was temporary. asked her why they were stuck on side of road.. says their bus was cooling off and they're actually trying to get to a hooters promotional location near where i work. i told her that it's on my way if she wanted a ride to get there sooner. she says okay and also if it's okay to take her manager too. turns out, they were going to a men's club. they were guest dancers this evening. i got free meal tickets and dance tix for tonight should i want to go. what a day =p |

there's another similar joint in the us called twin peaks.. they tout it as family restaurant but their billboards and atmosphere say otherwise heh. |

yeah that's really only thing that's decent at hooters.. the wings. rest of their food is not worth it. i only go when other people are paying =p |
