rumour has it that that'll be john simm (sam from life on mars), but that hasn't
been confirmed (its been teased a hell of a lot in the british tabloids though).
dunno how they'd play with what happened to the master in the '96 tv movie, but
i'm sure they'd address it.
back in the ecclestone days, tom baker put his hand up and said he wanted to
play the master.

with all the hints dropping about the doctor having a brother and the face of
boe telling the doctor that he is not alone, it's looking probable for a
doctor/master showdown at the end of the season, and dt and js do look similar
enough to be able to play on-screen brothers ... mind you i don't know what that
says about regenerations

as for hd/not-hd ... as far as i know, this year doctor who moved to all-digital
production, but i'm not sure what that means for whether its made in hd or not.

doctor who should be considered a pearl in the scifi genre. its not in hr right
now, but i assure you that in the future i could very well be done.
doctor who has revived one of the best characters in the universe. with it's
great success and wonderful reimagined formula with action, witty humor and good
fx, the new show has been noticed by mainstream-america and is aired there now too.
if you ask me, doctor who, the unknown traveler of time is worthy of
revitalisation for many many years to come.
i'm thinking tv movies and long-run seasons here. perhaps one day go big and
take on the time war, the beginning of the doctor and so forth.

reason why she finally won't choose to go on with the doktor could be his next
cycle of regeneration he "dies" saving everyone and turns into the first
black doctor? could be nicer for donna's family, seeing how that pink-skinned
female was chased away in s03e01

ok, i'll be a critic for a bit....
love the new girl, love the fact that she is smarter and more mature than rose.
plus, love that martha is hot as hell!
however, i am put off by the daleks! they just seem lame to me. they have a
toilet plunger as an arm, ffs. for as cool as dr. who is, couldn't the writers
think of something better than an enemy that looks like it is straight out of a
1960's b sci-fi movie. c'mon, there main weapon is a toilet plunger! wow, real
scary! lol
i dunno, maybe its just me. but i dread episodes that have the daleks in them.
aren't they dead already? can't we just have a season without those cheap
looking, lame chunks of metal with toilet plungers, saying exterminate (in a
smoked too many packs of cigarettes voice)
maybe i'm missing the point and the daleks are supposed to look cheesy? they
just seem like a laughable arch enemy for the almighty doctor to have. dunno,
but i just had to say something and get that off my chest!
anywhoo, the overall show is awesome and i look forward to it every week. thank
you eztv and all involved!
