oh god, where do we start. first off, the release is out of sync 170ms from
25:27 to the end. see our sample directory for proof of that. now from there
another host of issues present themselves.
caph used opendml on the release which causes problems with software and hardware
players. it won't play on most standalones including the otherwise forgiving
phillips
dvp642,zenith zdv-512 and malata and centrum players. in addition it crashes in
quicktime
7.1.5 on a mac ppc running osx 10.4.9
welcome to the scene caph. let's hope your other releases don't suffer from
these problems.
special thanks as always to you know who!.

i keep meaning to look up what 'exactly' defines the need for a proper, but two
things seem fairly clear to me...
one is that from reading many of these comments on releases, you realise that a
lot of people do use divx compatible/stand alone dvd players to watch this
stuff (including my mum!).
and two, is that many people are already struggling to come to terms with
really basic torrent software, so asking them to download more software, and
modify a rip so it will play properly, seems a bit much.
so as it stands, it's a release that won't play on most hardware players, or
even some software players, so to my mind, probably deserves a proper, but then
i'm not the scene so it's just an opinion.
"the release is out of sync 170ms from 25:27 to the end"
did not notice that at all, looked perfect on xbmc...

when i loaded this onto my dvd player it plays fine - for the first 8
seconds! then my machine just stops playing it. took me copying to 3
different disks to realise it is the file that is screwed, not my rw disks.
gonna try converting it to some other formats to see if that works, but this
really needs reposting as a proper working file.
