ye ill have to recommend it too, not just good for british tv but just good, the 720p is out on "other" sites.
and thx for the others for commenting on the show, i might not have watched it otherwise.
the whole first season is already out on bd in german, dunno
why it aired in germany first but there you go.
really? i don't see season one of this "utopia" (tv series) on bd or dvd in any country anywhere.
can you please tell me, where did you see this information?

i think they were talking about "the transporter" series. all of the episodes have already aired in
germany and are available.
as for "utopia," i'm excited for more. here is something pretty original in a sea of procedurals.
the only thing that will get me to watch any more of those damn things is if they give the reigns to
capcom for a season so we can get ncis vs csi vs svu ultimate match-up: fight for the files!
this really is an amazing show. i'm hooked. intense and weird and i like the over-saturated colours.
and who doesn't like deep conspiracy theories, eh? this is must-watch.
first off, the first episode of utopia was some excellent tv. great looking, well acted,
smoothly
paced and intriguingly written. it reminded me of a guy ritchie film in places. well worth the 59
minutes of it's run time.
secondly, the transporter was a joint french and canadian production and has nothing to do with
any of the people, producers, actors, writers or networks responsible for utopia as far as i know.
conflating the two is pointless. because one show in one country is greenlit with a supposedly
over-inflated budget, is no reason to judge a completely different show from a completely
different country in the same light. it's like saying transformers was a huge budget spectacle that
disappointed so i won't go and see the next british indie film that comes out.
thirdly, though off topic, on the point of the transporters budget: the concept of the show means
that it must cost an absolute mint to produce. there's very little chance to use the same sets at
all, let alone in the same episode, which is a way shows save on production budgets. the whole
thing is shot on location, often featuring moving vehicles and elaborate action scenes. it isn't
exactly two and a half men. they did pretty well with their budget considering.
a) the transformers is not an indie production.
b) no one told me it was a british production, that is a whole separate category when it comes to
television. sure there are bad british shows but far less.
conspiracy theory!, mad sadistic killers, hackers, political sabotage, a gritty street kid.. awesome! as
long as the plot keeps moving and it doesn't turn into a lost i'm hooked. bring on the next episode!!!
