the difference between hdtv and and a tv rip is negligible on most systems.
anyone who thinks different will probably tell you that their 1500$ stereo
sounds way better than my 1200$ one. if you want to wait for weeks to get the
higher definition, you may as well wait a little for dvd to come out, me i am
very grateful to get these same day & not 3 years later at midnight on free to
air in australia. well done to all the scene releases and a big thank you to
eztv i get most of my viewing commercial free from you guy's

i don't know where some of you people come from, seriously.
there's a huge difference on my $300 20" 1600x1200 lcd when i have a 'standard
def' or tvrip episode in full screen as compared to an hdtv rip. neither look
great when stretched to 16x12, but tv looks like absolute shit, while hdtv looks
quite acceptable, almost 'good'.
never have seen bsg hd rips quality, but i have compared house, and the
difference is.. unmistakeable. to the point where i say anyone that can't tell
is a)blind b)is a liar c) needs a new monitor.
but anyway, nbc crushed that rumor recently. they said it was started somewhere
on the net and was totally unfounded. which really means they're thinking about
it but scifi channel is where it shall remain for season 3. we should be
happy though, 'cause scifi doesn't fare well on network tv. (firefly, babylon 5,
star trek) network tv tries to sex it up, add more battles, and shows episodes
out of order, anything for drama. turns us off, and the average joe doesn't like
scifi anyway, so then nobody likes it, and like firefly, half way through the
season, woosh, off with its head.

we come from the earth, the real world that is & we don't get hung up on a few
extra pixels if you wish to wait for a hd version why oh why are you commenting
on a lowly tv-rip leave that to the people who appreciate the effort involved
and are extremely happy with what we are getting for free & i am soo glad hdtv
is "almost good" enough for you but hey' why don't you by a $400 lcd i am sure
it will be way better than your $300 one."might even be good enough" seriously
though these rips look fine run through my pc with an s-cable to my standard
definition 68cm tv

oh gawd people.. can you get over the whole "it's free and be glad you get it"
slogan, even i am getting tired of it.
perfect example of dsr vs pdtv (which isn't even hdtv) is eureka, look at an
episode in both versions, and please tell me you don't see a difference and
don't appreciate the pdtv version.
i have never seen so many people sidetrack a thread so bad in here it's scary.
talking about story line of a show... the person was asking about a better
quality release of the show because they obviously love the show and would think
it would do the show more justice if it was in a higher detail..
you people who enjoy shooting down people over wanting a nicer rip is getting
way beyond a joke.

i agree that this is definatly not the same as a hdtv rip. its a dull image
compared to a hd cut and its noticeable on my 68cm sd tv. but this release is
what it is, it can't be changed. i dont see what whinging is going to help.

your not happy with this quality go to amazon and buy the dvd when it comes out
in a year or so in the meantime i'll be happy with the work these fine people
are doing to get these to me on the same day that they go to air

so, for the strangest reason i'm having trouble opening this file...i think i've
downloaded ep3 from 3 differnt sources now and cant get it to run. i've tried 3
or 4 differnt media players and still, all are saying 'cant play this format' or
what not and its driving me nuts! i have ep1 and ep2 from omicron and they
worked fine, but none others. any ideas?
edit: battlestar.galactica.s03e05.ws.dsr.xvid-crimson wont run for me either
now...wtf!!!
