hey, when will a 700mb hr rip be released? these 350mb rips are shit on my
laptop screen.

then don't download it, the hr ones are normally released within 24 hours.

i prefer the gig+ .mkv files. incredible resolution and picture, and makes the
thing so much more enjoyable. had problems viewing them on my laptop until i
began using the old bsplayer, which does it perfectly (smoother than vlc, which
would hiccup once in a while) even on an old centrino 1.6 laptop. from now on
it's .mkv hr all the way whenever possible.

how long does it typically take for the .mkv hr gig+ to come out, also 24 hrs?
i've only viewed those files from the db so far. waiting for both 24s and heroes
to come in that way. nex

wow you people must have great eyes... or is it coz i watch it on my tv/xbox??

there was a bad lost in se1 that didn't get propered so i got the 700mb one
instead and can't tell the difference :s

i too have a modded xbox and watch it on my 42" hdtv plasma and cannot see a
difference between good 350mb and 700mb rips, and it is an hd television.
regular cable, alot of chanels suck royally on this tv but these rips which
are from an hd source (thank you for that), look awesome.

on my tv, you can really tell the difference..the 350 one is like watching an
old vhs movie compared to the 700 one..which looks like im just watcing tv

i guess stick to what's good for me/you is the way to go.

and yes to the above post, 720p comes out but not for a while (as stated in an
above post)

not for heroes. the 720p is only for 24, lost, and prison break.

i think lost should be dropped and heroes picked up in hd, but whatever.

heroes comes out in 720p on another tv site. at 1.1 gig, the picture is just
stupendous.

by the way, i just watch on my 19" samsung lcd about two feet from my face, yet
the difference between ~700 and ~1.1 is clear, while 350's look barely adequate
because i'm all jaded now you see. (cough) nex

i don't know if you guys are retarded or what. if you have a 720p capable
plasma, you should be able to tell, or maybe it's because you got some cheap
crap and not pioneer's elite series which is unarguably the best plasma out there...

350mb vs 700mb is like night and day. i personally prefer my 5.7gb transport
stream recordings in full 1080i. even then there's still a noticeable difference
with 1080i and 700mb's ~900x500 resolution.

this is like asking 480p vs 720p. there's an obvious difference especially on a
big screen. even on my 19" monitor, there's a huge difference.

get your eyes checked guys.

350mb is good for one thing. fast releases. if you missed it, here's your chance
to watch it fast. if you can't handle the 700mb or larger ones, get a new
freaking hd. then again i'm a quality freak. otherwise, keep enjoying your 350mb
rips which are lower resolution than sdtv. kthx.

btw, heroes is nbc which is 1080i. 720p is obviously some re-encoded +
deinterlaced stuff. transport streams ftw!
