but neither of those reasons mean anything if the file is a format that peoples dvd players/
streamers can't play anyway the picture and sound quality are no better then a blank screen if you
want to use your existing hardware to play the files
the problem is that i watch these through my 360 connected to my big
screen and the
x264 files will
not even show up in the play list.
everything plays xvid. mp4... not so much
mp4 easily plays on xbox 360,u probably dont know how to play it.do a google search .
mp4 also plays in -
tvix, popcorn hour, wdtv hd media player, boxee,
xtreamer, ps3, xbox 360, ipad and many brands of hdtvs
like the original post says avi plays on everything not just 4 or 5 examples and the file size is
almost exactly the same, i have 3 dvd players with usb 2 bluray and 3 streamers (wdtv like but
differnt brands) and none of them will play this mp4 type but all play avi's flawlessly
i may be in the minority, but i'm liking the mp4 format. plays fine when i transfer it to my tivo
box w/pytivo, it plays fine when i connect the hard drive to my blue ray dvd player, and i've been
thinking
of getting a tablet, so now i won't have to convert...i'm a happy gal! 🙂

the people who do all the work capping the shows don't care about your (or my) dvd player or
steamers. if you want to keep downloading releases in the future, you need to upgrade your
equipment. plain and simple. i just did (wd media player), and everything plays fine.
