Terra Nova S01E01 720p HDTV x264-ORENJI

well im not a good reviewer but i think the conversation on the mountain between the captain and jim
shannon was purely animated...show didnt leave up to all the hype it had...looking forward to new
episodes ..

talking about dumb movie mistakes, why did it take them until long after night fall to come up with the
idea of calling for help when they were pinned down in the vehicle

what most of you seem to forget is this is not a documentary. if it were a documentary then you
would not get people going back in time, but you would get factual dinosaurs.

see you can not have it both ways.

this show is entertainment, so for that reason they can have people going back in time, they can
have dinosaurs that bullets do not penetrate the skin off etc.

i personally enjoyed it. for a pilot to a new show i thought it was very good. you have to give
shows time to warm up, i usually give them 3-4 episodes for that reason. however i will stick with
terra nova as i can see already that it has some really good value in it.

by the way the sixes were legitimately there. thus unless all their id's were wiped from the system
(which of course was never inferred once) then of course when they did the retinal scan it would
work. this is what i mean about people wanting to base too much reality onto the show trying to make
it based on fact which it can not possibly be. just like buffy the vampire slayer was not based on
fact, it was done for entertainment only, are you getting the idea yet?

i am worried that fox has this show as fox has a terrible history with getting rid of shows after
one season that have a sci fi basis. which means that people like myself who happen to really like
sci fi shows get very frustrated with the constant cancellation of shows by them.

in regards to the son who didn't want to go through the worm hole without his dad but then was anti
his dad. wasn't his dad carrying the youngest child? that would account for the fact that he did not
want to go through without him.

if you actually watched the show properly you would have seen that people were killed by the
dinosaurs. you would have known that going outside without people protecting you actually was not
allowed & that the teenagers like kids of today did something they were not allowed or meant to do.
the ones working outside the enclosure were accompanied by people with weapons. the same as when
they came through the worm hole they were greeted by others carrying weapons to protect them from
the dinosaurs. after all what you need is a deterrent more than anything. if you watched the
dinosaurs went pretty quickly once they were constantly shot at.

there were vehicles & there were other weapons other than guns. again you have to have been watching
the show properly i guess.

finally if you listened to the show properly you would have picked up on these points.... they did
not work on finding a way back in time, it was found by accident. thus maybe the technology you
expect them to have due to the wormholes existence isn't actually there yet. there is a very valid
reason why the sixes have rebelled, however again you needed to be watching & listening to the show
properly. in case you missed it however they rebelled because the symbols carved into the rocks were
not made by other humans hundreds of years before they got there, but by the leaders son, who has
chosen to live away from the compound. the reason he has done this is because the official line on
terra nova on earth is that they can not affect the future of earth by going back as it is a
different timeline. however that is incorrect & they will impact earth. that is what all the symbols
are for, it is why the sixes have left & why the leader is so keen to stop people going to where the
symbols are.

ok now i have gotten all that off my chest, i am glad that there were some aussie actors in the show
(being australian myself) i think it is a good blend as believe it or not, not everyone is american
in the world & that needed to be reflected. so stop bagging shows after one episode, watch it
without comparing it to fact as no show unless reality or documentary is factual & enjoy it for what
it is. light entertainment of the sci fi variety

this was, for me, a litle bit disapointing. i was expecting more from this series. it's a mix of
jurassic parc, avatar and lost. the acting is very bad. the story line is superficial. i don't think
this series will be cut because it comes from speilberg but i will probably stop watching this in a
couple of episodes if it does not get better.
