i don't think river song is the little girl in the space suit

river is human and can't
regenerate, moffet has stated that river is very human.though she may have some timelord dna it's not
enough to regenerate.

don't think it will be fully explained but they'll tie up a few of the big loose ends. but it's to
do with the silence (think the doctor realises that "the silence" are not really an enemy to the
humans, they have been here well before humans) so he looks to them for help...

though adult river song *may* be the one the suit in the 60's (not in the way you think) who shot
the doctor. that's why she's in jail. remember she's travailing backwards through the doctors
timeline that's why the doctor says "it's ok i know who you are" or words to that effect just before
he is shot. in her timeline it's the first time river has ever met the doctor...

but all of the above may be totally wrong.
i have my bets on the girl in the spacesuit to be the doctors kid (remember he was married and had a
family before the time war) and the suit is what protected her from the timelock around the time war.

also:
at the very end of the episode (after the credits) we see a skeletons hand with the doctors sonic
screwdriver under water. looks like we're going back to 1960's america...

has anyone else had problems seeking with this file? i find that when i seek the further into the
episode the longer it takes to start playing, also the video plays, then pauses, then the audio
catches up, then they continue in sync. i've also been having this problem with the latest
confidential episodes.

actually it's people whining about the license fee that are the cause of this. the fee has been
capped for the next four years, after years of inadequate rises because of all the people moaning
about it but inflation still happens so the bbc can do less and then the same people whine about the
lack of good programmes.

that's your codec and player combo acting up......... get k-lite codec pack ( google it ) and
vlc media player, which are both free. they can let you play any video ever made, and play
them well.
if that's not your problem, then maybe you downed the video prior to the proper ? it has
sync problems like crazy near the beginning, which makes it hard to re-sync / play

the doctor was not shot in the 60's .. but in 2011

.. also rechecked the day of the moon episode.. paused, and screenshots.. the girl from the
spacesuit, and in the pictures where there is one with amy and her baby, and yes the girl who
regenerates at the end.. are all the same girl.. but whether or not the girl is a young river, we
still don't know for sure. still, that would be pretty bad of them to mislead by throwing in the
baby pic with the other pictures.

a couple of things.

the season split had nothing to do with torchwood, it was split so that moffat could have enough
time to work on both doctor who and sherlock. so basically they did the first block of who, then
moffat went off to do this years three sherlock specials, then back again to finish off who's second
half season.

as for nothing else worth watching on british tv apart from who and torchwood, that's a pretty
woefully ignorant statement, and i suggest that you check out the afore mentioned sherlock, as well
as the likes of being human, misfits, spooks, luther, strike back, psychoville, peep show, the i.t.
crowd, top gear, hustle, q.i., and mad dogs, not to mention miniseries in recent years like jekyll,
the take, and exile, or completed series like life on mars, ashes to ashes, or going back a bit,
ultraviolet. and those are just a few that instantly spring to mind. there's plenty of quality
british tv for a whole variety of tastes if your eyes are open enough to look and find it...

anyway end of rant.

by the way, this was a great episode, and the proper, for anyone still wondering, is indeed fine.

personally i loved the "torchwood" moment 'was i being insensitive again, dear? .....i don't know why
you put up with me.' best laugh i've had in ages, was watching with my 15 y.o. daughter and went
completely over her head so i think it was safe enough for the younger kids. seriously, if that offended
you, get a life, or turn it off.

welcome to the world of british tv. you can't expect it to be like american tv! ;-)

doctor who will return saturday aug. 27 at 7:10 london time.
