i havn't tried since i never download anything other than 350mb files but you
should try the render settings - it wont cause you any problems. xbmc defaults
to "high quality pixel shader" which may be an issue with hd files due to the
(believe it or not) slow gpu on the xbox. try overlays first, it should be the
fastest but least splendid looking, then the fast pixel shader. either way set
it back to the quality shader when finished watching - if it is watchable.
also - you may want to get the latest xbmc if you are using an old one - i
find it hard to believe it has a hard time playing regular ~500x~300 files,
i've never hit a glitch with any files - ever. perhaps i should download this
file, blow some bandwidth and try it for the greater good...

can you or anyone else trying this let me know how it goes, i'm interested to
know if it works and how well.

it won't and never will be able to play on xbmc due to hardware limit. (hr hdtv
is best xbox can handle!)
x264 720p require 2.4ghz cpu or above to run it smoothly. (xbox only have 7xxmhz)

if you know how to modded your xbox by replacing the cpu inside, changed it to
1ghz cpu or above and added some ram, then you can play 720p xvid which was out
quite alot during last tv season. (720p xvid is 1.4g per episode.)
