wohoo 😉 i hoped so badly for a 720p .mkv prison break release, and there it
is. thank you so much and please keep them comming. -greetings from
switzerland oo
hr (half resolution) is half the resolution of 1080p hd, so it is about 540p.
720p is hd, in a more updated .mkv container format, and only about 300mb
larger. i would go for the 220p.
too bad that xbmc running on an xbox cant play this without
stuttering ☹️
i havn't tried this but also use xbmc:
- are you running 720p video mode?
- have you tried changing the render method between low quality pixel shader /
hardware overlays to see if that makes any difference to performance?
always keen to help out fellow xbox users - its simply the best method of
playing all our favourite eztv releases 😉

no, i havnt. i figured the 1/4 fps was a sure sign it couldnt play it. i guess
ill try it again. i am only running this on a sd tv but i can see a huge
difference between the hr and 720p videos.

1/4 fps? is that 1/4 fps or ~15fps (1/4 normal speed) .. anyhow dont run 720p
mode obviously but worth trying the overlay and low quality pixel shader modes
to see if it regains normal speed. personally i dont see the quality
difference in most 350mb files unless theres a real dark or high contrast
shots where you start noticing the compression blocks. i'm running on a 43" sd
rear projection telly.

you don't see the difference because you have an sd tv, dumbass.

man, people like you should be put to sleep. if you dont have anything useful
to say why come out with comments like that - particularly when you don't know
what you're talking about.
to clarify some technical points - sd / hd [re-]encodings with xvid or similar
compression produce artifacts - jpeg compression squares and other noticable
defects that you can see on any screen. having a sd display doesnt mean that
you cant see quality improvements with higher bitrate and higher resolution
images. how do i know all this? i'm a graphics programmer.
check your facts and consider learning some tact before you go commenting on
things you obviously know nothing about 'dumbass'.
