Stargate Universe 2x20 (HDTV-PROPER-FQM)

it's not the last stargate ever. just the last stargate for a while. after 15 years of television,
it might be a good thing that it's going away for a little while. in a few years they might be able
to bring it back in a more successful reboot of the series. sort of like what paramount did with
star trek.

i believe they tryied to mimic star trek's voyager: lost in far and unknown space, but the lack of
aliens to interact made sg:u a sitcom drama.

finally its over.
shame it had to ruin it for the sg1 atlantis crossover movie.

if they killed of all the civilian ppl in episode 2, this show wouldve bin amazing. no shitty love stories,
just military power, conquering whatever is on there path, instead of camille always messing it up.

kudos for mgm cancelling this. shouldve never bin created. whats wrong with a reboot of atlantis,
without overwatch offcourse, overwatch was the dumbest thing ever created in the show.

im sick of investing a year or two only to have the shows canned. we have now seen so many shows
canned early, one almost wonder whether its worthwhile getting committed to them in the first place.

its all in the writing, too many crappy writers following the same uncredible script. we need writers like
jms who created babylon 5 with a beginning, a middle and an end that lasted 5 years allbeit bit of a
screw up end season 4. lazy writers is what i say, little minds with no real credible imagination.

ps. i am voluntarily canning 'sanctuary', such dribble, but have watched it all till this weeks i said to
myself enough of this garbage..........yet garbage like this is still going, big bloody bertha shuda done
us all a favour and killed them all off. lol. frakk already got withdrawal symptoms for lack of sci fi.

just finished watching the finale. had a good feeling how they were going to end this and i was right...
wonder if they would make mini movie(s) down the track. sucks how they wouldnt renew for another
season. was starting to enjoy this season. so going to have sgu withdrawals... ☹️

this is now firmly one of my top series of all time and ended on just the perfect note.

i'll forever hold a little hope in my heart that this gets revived.

a tv movie set 3 years in the future would be a great idea imo.... any cast members who
don't return
could have pod failures.

as for the faults with the series i thought that while characterization is important, there was a
glut of episodes where it seemed to be the only thing... the fact they were transmitting their
consciousness back to earth didn't save the lack of sci-fi.

they also need to realize that ratings will be even less accurate for sci-fi shows than other
shows... more geeks watch sci-fi and more geeks download rather than watch on tv.... hence the
ratings suffer. :-/

sounds like you don't actually like sci-fi, sounds to me like you only like sci-. that's fine, but
don't tune into stargate if you want a documentary about astrophysics.

he can't do that now can he, they cancelled it!

and good! now we can spend more time watching dancing shows, wrestling, cooking shows, and all the
good stuff we're supposed to be interested in.

not this half-arsed soppy pseudo science-drama about boring things like boring old space and boring
old space ships and boring old aliens. boring.

who needs it. let's watch people who read the news dsancing on stage or lets all watch large greasy
men grabbing each other in the ring, or god knows i need to know how haley will make that succulent
upside down cherry chocolate and jam cake.... ohhh!!!

to prepare for this new stage in television life, i'm going to bash my face into a woman's day
magazine and force myself to read the gossip section until i pass out.
