Stargate Universe S02E14 Hope PROPER HDTV XviD-FQM

the same 'type' of story, perhaps. but unlike the other members of the stargate franchise, this has no
humor at all. and a surgery in sg-1 would have looked quite different. it is a very different show. it could
have been a nice standalone show, i don't see why this had to be connected to the stargate franchise other
than to grab more viewers from the start.

i do agree that it is getting better, and i can understand why people love it. but i like it less than the other,
lighter, stargate series. not because i read reviews, but because i watched everything.

now i understand they probably aren't even wrapping up the story because they plan to have a major
cliffhanger at the end of season 2. if this is how stargate ends, then yes i am pissed. they had a good
thing but nooo.. they had to change it dramatically.

this might be true for sgu in general, but at least this episode had me laughing out loud at the
-music player incident- (i even got a cramp)

but i do agree with you about the humor, i prefer the lighter sg1 and sga humor, but that was not
what the previous post is about, the content and the type of problems the crew was faced with was
typical stargate, nobody can deny that.

and more humor would not make a story progress more, so for that argument humor is irrelevant.

in fact, i would argue that:

downloading a crew members consciousness into the ship computer add a ton of possibility and
interesting scenarios for the future, this is as much -story line progress- as you can expect in any
single shy-fy episode.
i think it is safe to say, that if the show continued, the new ship "ai" would probably be an
important aspect.

i absolutely love the stargate sg1 humor, and i am a big fan of rodney and his sarcasm(not to
mention his "accidents" blowing up parts of the galaxy)

but i still have come to appreciate the sgu for what it is, perhaps is it because it is the only new
stargate dose i can get now days without watching re-runs :3

perhaps if they kept count of seeders and peers on different trackers they'd soon know that it's a popular tv show

it could be the most popular downloaded series ever, but that wouldn't compel them to renew it... they need people
watching their tvs so they get revenue from advertising!

too bad to hear that they cancel this show. to be honest i wasn't a huge fan at the beginning but really
loved the way it was turning out @ the end - dynamic, creative, interesting, less talk show,...too bad they
didn't start this @ the start. damn ratings and money issue, always the same thing - bloody money!!!!!

some people need to be honest with them self, they don't have their own opinion just some pre-concieved
notion from a review which they regurgitate from a person that is into bubblegum "sci-fi" alone they just
gloss over shows looking to pin their excrement opinion on it which you can see has been done by several
posting in these threads. you people need to realize the zombie horde is upon us and it is you. get your
own brain quit chewing on others and spitting it out.

just so we are clear people with strange trans-species viruses, losing their baby, being under constant
threat and people dying left and right on limited rations and all sorts of odd things happening are less likely
to crack wise every half second. and if they did you lot would complain about that too.
what a surprise that you find it similar to another show where people are trying to survive and just look to
co-opt it into a clone, zombies are clearly rigid as they are moronic and want the same old same old.
bust out of your extremely polarized little bubbles and actually attempt to identify with things and maybe
you might actually start to get it.
