...
...choose to use an internet service provider
that limits their bandwidth?...

...sure, i feel a little sorry for you
if you're one of those unlucky enough to live in one of those forsaken areas of
the world...

and they said *i* was self centered...
dude... some people don't have a choice coz all their isps do the same.
why had that problem here in a "forsaken" area of south america... they tried to
cheat us by offering to duplicate our downstream bandwidth and the fine print
they added a monthly traffic limit. we (the people) read the fine print and said
f*ck you! we are not accepting that. and it worked... now all our isps have
unlimited plans (they kept the limited plans at a cheaper price for people who
don't really use internet that much).

also, that *world* you say is not *the world*... only canada, europe, japan and
probably part of the us has gone hd... the world is much bigger than that my
friend... you are a poor little ignorant (and then you ask why they hate you?)

so i'm happy downloading the 700m version coz i don't have any limit.
i understand some people have limits and they prefer the 350m version.
what i will never understand is wtf they think this forum can do about that.
as i said before... is like pressing the horn on heavy traffic...

oh... btw... your nick name couldn't be more appropiate.

[qquote=zagardujan]dude... some people don't have a choice coz all their isps do

and that should be everyone elses problem... why again? seems you completely
avoided answering my question. i would have expected an answer more along the
lines of how hdtv displays only 24% to 29% of homes have one. of course, i was
ready to answer that by telling whom ever said it that they should go look at
the market forecasts covering the next two years, where thanks to dropping costs
and greater availability of hd sources, one can expect that percentage to rise
to around 79%. when the number of folks downloading the 700mb torrents outstrip
those downloading 350mb, which they are already pretty close to doing based on a
quick glance around eztv, you'll know that people have truly embraced hd, and sd
is dead.

[qquote=zagardujan]why had that problem here in a "forsaken" area of south

that's awesome! exactly the kind of thing the common folk such as myself love to
hear! no matter how "third world" your country may be, no matter how greedy and
oppressive the government officials, no matter how many bribes the industry
makes or controls they try to place on their so called intellectual property,
the power will always and forever lay with a countries population. if they are
unwilling to stand up and do what is required to make life better for themselves
and the common man, to do what they know deep down in their hearts is right,
then i ask you again; why should the rest of the world suffer?

[qquote=zagardujan]also, that *world* you say is not *the world*... only canada,
europe, japan and probably part of the us has gone hd... the world is much
bigger than that my friend.[/qquote]

i don't know about you, but those countries you just listed make up a fairly
significant number of the worlds population. not surprisingly, they are also the
ones whom work the hardest at making a better world for themselves and their
fellow countryman. i'm not saying these countries are perfect by any means, but
what i'm saying is the truth. some do their best to help other, less fortunate
countries, lending a hand whichever way they can. why? because they believe that
the whole world can be a better place, even if there are those that oppose such
thinking. power belongs with the people. it may not be perfect, but it's the
best we have for the moment. as i said before, if one is not willing to stand up
for so much as their own basic rights, then why should the rest of the world be
made to suffer?

[qquote=zagardujan]so i'm happy downloading the 700m version coz i don't have

i completely agree with you there, 100%. 🙂

[qquote=zagardujan]oh... btw... your nick name couldn't be more appropiate.[/qquote]

you like it? thanks! i created it to reflect the nature of society, and in
particular the greedy entertainment industry whom feels i should have to pay for
my cable service, yet won't allow me to watch certain shows when i have some
free time. that is actually how i ended up here at eztv. my pvr, which i've
owned for around two years and have never had a problem with until now, has
begun to refuse recording of certain television shows thanks to cgms-a analog
protection. i use my pvr exactly like i used to use my vcr. i record shows that
come on too late for the wife and i to watch when it airs, then delete them
after they are watched. the quality of my cable service isn't very good, so i
have no interest in keeping them in any form. in the instances where i'm a big
fan, i will usually buy the dvd sets of my favorite shows when they come out.
anyways, by coming here i am refusing to be dictated to on the terms of what i
can and cannot watch, and especially when i want to. not that i have much of a
choice. if i want to see an episode i've missed because the pvr refused to
record it when it came on, i have to come here and hunt it down. i feel i have
every right, and is pretty much my only reason for using eztv. i'm planning on
switching cable services soon, as well as picking up one of those video
stabilizers to help with the problem. this is my small way of standing up for my
free use rights, which i feel are being trod on. the second season opener of
rome was the first instance, hence the cultural influence on my name. humorous i
hope. 🙂

ps: i only recently went hd, after holding of for a few years now. thanks to
market trends and the increased availability of hd sources as of late, the time
just seemed right to finally make the jump. watched my first 700mb file
yesterday on my brand spanking new big screen hd display. wow! i want more!!!
please, keep it coming uploaders! 😉
