wow i can't believe they made a us version!!! that show just can't be translated to us format just can't!
watch it be canceled midseason.

im not sure thats entirely true. of course no one uses the term "skins" over here, so theres that.
i think they could have successfully adapted the show replacing the uniquely british parts with
uniquely american ones. that being said, they failed. hard. i'm not entirely sure why they
changed a few names. even less sure why the hell max is a lesbian female. the characters and plot
not only feel forced, but awkward.

if you like the original skins, you will hate this. if you like crappy mtv quality american shows,
this may be for you.

mtv is also doing a inbetweeners us.....yea....um....yea.....

skins uk season 1 / 2 was some of the best dramatic television ive ever seen. the promos for this
mtv one looked fuckin horrible but seemed to keep a couple plot points from the original, so im
interested to see how much of a waste of bandwidth this really is...

epic fail.

i'd expected it to be bad, but this ..... this is just a train wreck, horrible acting, terrible
script,.... probably the worst rip-off ever

i definitely won't be watching this but i can't see why anyone would get outraged by it, the original was terrible anyway.

so far this season usa hollywood has totally failed at remaking two excellent uk originals..."skins"
and "shameless". what next...?
although the us has made a couple well done remakes of uk originals...queer as folk and the office.

the guy playing tony is like a male version of kristen stewart. look at him. it's bella!

i agree with all the comments. i too am a fan of the original uk skins and the americanized version that
mtv created is complete crap b/c they didn't try to make it there own. they just bought it and picked some
of the ugliest, most talentless actors barely trying to give these characters the life they have in the uk.
good news for the real skins fans, it comes back in the uk with series 5 jan. 27th. also, for the fans of
uk's being human, it comes back with series 3 jan. 23rd. so, how bout we don't steal anymore british
shows and turn them to shit. the only successful transition i know of is the office because the british
version ended, the actors are talented, and the writers did their job and made original scripts.

after watching:

they kept the original plot but took out all the funny bits
terrible actors. casting was just awful. one girl is like 30 years old come on!
doesn't feel like its happening in america.

uk skins sucked after 2 season, this show sucks already.
