also... one more point regarding the opening scene to season 4 and the sister's death. we, as the
audience, don't really care about the sister who dies. i'm not so sure we cared about her in the comic
either. she is there to serve as a way to develop an instantly intimate connection with the surviving sister...
and to initiate the audience to the more personal connection with death. (of course, this was already
somewhat initiated in the pilot episode when the black guy has to kill his zombie-wife... however, that did
not appear in the comics).
