ha. your comments pretty much covered what i was gonna say here, verbatim. just an... interesting
choice for a cover. couldn't they have picked a picture better than a bare-chest shot that makes
terrance look more like a gay biker than a war vet? i know its not really graphic or anything...
its not a picture of some dude in ass-less chaps or anything, but every day on the front of the
page? i visit the site daily, and i'd rather not be greeted by the chest of a guy who looks like a
failed tryout
for "the village people." ...the one that never quite made it. haven't seen the movie for this
reason... i've got an idea of what he looks like, and i don't dig mustaches and daisy duke shorts (a
la lt. dangle, reno 911).

fuck off asshole. the message of this film is a seriously big problem. people with ptsd are harmless
thats why the military discharges them, they can't handle any drama at all so they're not suited for
service. the days of patton slapping them and calling them cowards are gone. vets get treatment for
this these days and only stupid liberals think that they are dangerous.

wrong choice of feature, i think.
dunno who cares about the main movie, i certainly don't . .
the animated stuff however is excellent.
the facial expressions, the movement of hair, the lightning - everything.

vonrik, first off, you are not making your case by getting angry after saying that you yourself have
been diagnosed with ptsd. secondly any vet, such as myself, who has kept many friends since their
time in the military knows that you are simply wrong. ptsd can present itself in many ways. while,
yes, much more often than not, ptsd sufferers are not anymore dangerous than the average guy on the
subway thanks to medication, a small percentage do experience vivid waking flashbacks. once again i
will agree with you that those folks are well taken care of by the va and other support centers.
however not everyone takes their meds. not everyone makes their appointments. not everyone can admit
that they need help. now, before you argue, because i am pretty sure you will.. from a military
doctors manual; diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders iv

the diagnostic criteria for ptsd:
a: exposure to a traumatic event
simple enough
b: persistent re-experiencing
one or more of the following: flashback memories, recurring messed up dreams, vivid waking
flashbacks, or a negative response to things that remind you of the experience/s.
c: persistent avoidance and emotional numbing
avoiding talking about it, avoiding thinking about it, blocking out of your memory the experience/s,
expecting your life to suck because of it.
d: persistent symptoms of increased arousal not present before
not sexual arousal first of all. arousal as in difficulty sleeping, anger and "hypervigilance".
e: duration of symptoms for more than 1 month
again, simple enough, less than a month its asd
f: significant impairment
by definition it has to affect the victim in a significant way.

that was rude. just because you have the right to say whatever you like in america, even moreso on
the internet, does not mean you should.
plus the movie is not about homosexuals. it is weird though that you see a guy without a shirt and
the first thing you think about is sex. hmmm..

hmm.. wonder where i got that impression? it couldn't be from your use of the word "gay" earlier in
the thread or your use of the word "fag" and "lesbian" in the same post more recently. that
would be silly!

to be honest though, although i do not agree with anti-rights advocates of any kind, i respect your
right to be a hater and to use terms such as those in a hateful way as you have in this thread.
however, it is still quite rude to do so. not only that but it is also completely random as this
movie has nothing to do with homosexuality. i say this next part in all seriousness and without
malice.. your comments, as shown, imply a certain hypersensitivity to homosexuals. as in more than
just believing it to be an abomination. just be aware that it is not a normal thing to bring hatred
towards homosexuals into a thread about a movie having to do with ptsd. i hate pedophiles, does not
mean i am going to say hateful things about them to random people in a grocery store. it makes no
sense unless i was obsessed with pedophiles, and even then its weird. so its not really a stretch
that you would be obsessed with homosexuality, possibly as a repressed homosexual yourself, as my
joke earlier in the thread implied.

to be honest, i haven't even seen this movie, but to class it as a movie about ptsd is about as lame as
that term. it used to be called shell shock, but they (media and govt) thought that it was too sinister a
term and have since watered it down to post traumatic stress disorder.

as other users have commented, and a comment i agree with, the picture used to "sell" this movie to
us...makes it look like gay porn.

i've gone ahead and watched the preview and i'm glad i did, as i almost downloaded this movie just to
see if it was any good. when the preview is as atrocious as the one they are using to promote this
movie, you can bet your bottom dollar that this movie sucks donkey balls.

i'm not that offended by the picture that eztv uses every single day for, what, over 6 months, to try
and ram this movie down our throats. i am offended that the maker of this movie raised $30k to make
this pile of crap, as has gone on to give seminars to other would-be film makers showing them how to
do the same, while real filmmakers like the makers of primer, made it with only $7k, and guess what,
actually sold their movie, as well as win best pic at sundance, are seen as "selling out", probably
because they had a product worth selling.

this entire "watch our movie coz it's free and we made it with next to no money" idea is bollocks. make
a good movie and people will watch, free or paid. make a crap movie and then choose a terrible taxi
driver ripoff screen cap as the dvd cover and try to make people watch it because it's in their face
every single day... and people will ignore a good movie when it's put on this site.

this movie does an injustice to all film makers in the world.

ya, i may still end up watching it. i first came to this discussion to see if it were any good,
still don't think i have found anyone who has actually seen it =)
