while i have not watched this, the description sounds very little like taxi driver. the only
similarity between this title's protagonist and taxi driver's travis bickle is the veteran status.
bickle did not live underground, battle ptsd, or think the government is out to get him.
i hope he targets the u.s. army for giving him the ptsd and not treating it. i've hated (but also
admired) the u.s. army for many things, but refusing to treat ptsd is that one special thing that
makes me want to stab their army in the face.
i have just watched this movie and all a can say is wtf...
it jumps around a lot and is sometimes hard to understand what is going on.
i liked the use of camera angles, they were quite effective.
i am still not sure what i watched and what it was about
(i think it was taking a dig at the us army about the war (conspiracy theory and treatment of
recruits)).
damn. well, now i've watched this. i thought this was some kind of documentary, or ramblings of a
real live veteran, about to go terrorist on his own country, out of bitterness. instead, this is
(probably) a fictional story, but yet one that could be real, in my opinion. maybe the terrance dyer
character is a real person, or based on a very real person? who knows. if i was 18, i would've
yawned myself to death while watching this. now, not so much.
taxi driver vibes from the movie are understandable. the common elements are basically that both
main characters slosh waist-deep in a metaphorical swamp of misery and loathing, and in the
less-than-optimistic views and conclusions they draw from their experiences, but still having the
willpower to fight back and combat the apathy, constantly searching a way out of the frustration
that's there every day.
the more i think about it, the more certain i am that there are at least a handful of terrance dyers
out there, ready to do damage to their countries that turned their backs on them.
if a man says he has a ptsd, then he has a ptsd. terrance always denied it when asked directly, but
he certainly dropped little hints like "i came back with half a brain" and not once did he show a
sign of happiness (for longer than few seconds), leaving little doubt that he has ptsd.
if you know someone, a veteran, who fits this description, be very concerned. at least i would be.
that's all i can say.
they try to make veterans look like terrorists but it is just an agenda to disarm america and make
sane logical people facing unusual times look like they are crazy. i for one think that the search for
al qaeda would probably turn up nothing more than a goat in an al qaeda t-shirt.
you only have to look as far as the last us administration to see who is responsible. hell condoleezza
rice lied about being informed about the 911 attacks and then admitted she lied. this is no conspiracy
theory, the whole thing was covered by the news and there is video of her saying she lied about being
informed.
if condoleezza knew, bush knew. he was too calm in the classroom where he was informed. i don't
know how much he had to do with it, but i know at the very least he let it happen.
let me ask you a question. why the hell do they have to use such a high resolution to distribute this?
not mentioning the large file size, it's almost impossible to play it with regular codecs. mkv is a
really nice format for videos with a wide range of options for it, but then they put a vc1 video
format with 1280 width resolution.
ok, now that i shouted away, can someone help me to run this damn video? i'm curretly trying to use
smplayer in linux, now the video window is even missing, i can still hear audio. file name says
x264, but in player information says vc1, tried both codecs, result was video window missing( don't
know how to get it back).
thanks for the film makers, this seems a really interesting subject.

hey dude you just need to install "vlc"
its it open-source and multi o/s (its free and will work with any operating system)
and it will play just about any format. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

if you are having problems with the file size or bitrate there is also a standard definition xvid
version available:
thanks to both, i didn't find the standard xvid version in vodo before.
i do have vlc and it plays the video, as well as the default player for linux, starts ok but then
its full of stutters and slow downs.
i used to play high res videos through vdpau output through mplayer, which uses nvidia graphic card
to process images.
it usually plays well, it is just this one file that has given me problem, enough though, problem
solved ๐ thx

man you liberal jerk-wads don't have a clue! ptsd making a veteran dangerous is only a liberal wet
dream, not reality. i am a vet with ptsd and i find the whole concept completely offensive, just like
napalitanos warning about vets being terrorists. liberals are the paranoid ones not the vets.
btw if you have ptsd and want treatment is is not hard to get it you just have to go see a doctor
they will get social workers to find the appropriate health insurance for it wether it be disability or
the va. no one is withholding treatment of vets!!!!
