ok here goes -
... snip ...
everyone now clear?
yes. thanks!
for the others ...
there was no 350mb scene rls (afaik) of last week's sga (and none this week so
far). previously these canadian eps were from mint not orenji.
the hr nbs versions of these last two (thanks eztv!) are the only ones.

see this he where you 'hd version' people really suck... these
torrented eps are
only really meant to be available so that we can see the episode. to have an hd
version of if for archieving is just plain greedy, and you are doing the
studios
out of the profit that they need in order to make the series in the first place.
700 mb hd file should not be available for download, if you want that then you
should have to wait for it to show on your channel or go bloody buy the thing.
hd versions are a 'special' version... you want special? go buy.
jesus, if you own hd equipment you'd think that you would have the money to buy
your own, but you lot are more a bunch of cheapskates than those without the
cash.
i want, i want, i want.... well i hope that because you are online twice as
long
you all are twice as likely to get caught.
cheapskates.
easily my favourite post of the day

so which bit don't you understand - eztv has no control over what the scene
groups releases. if a 350mb rip hasn't been released by one of the scene
groups, where do you expect eztv to pull one from? (borat: i need to go make
in the toilet??) judging from the trend in the last few weeks, the 350mb
releases by mint/sfm seem to take longer than average to pre.
yet, to this day, eztv hasn't posted a single 350mb release of "tao of rodney"
when there's plenty of good 350mb encodes out there...

really? released by which groups?

er, dont eztv only release "the scene" releases groups caps and not individual
persons rips,( what stops that indivdual from becoming part of the secene group,
i don't know yet) its a different matter when they decide not to release an
episode due to lack of seeders. which they've done to a lot of shows i've watched.
but thats were you have open sites and trackers to fill this gap (mininova,
pirate bay etc etc) were you can get the private down scaled re-encode 3 hours
later .

the 350mb versions are based on the 700mb divx videos that were so popular in
the times of kazaa and such p2p networks.
the 700mb however, holds the quality of a true hdtv release as they are larger
in pixelsize. you wouldn't believe how much more this is preferred. they replace
the old svcd versions that were widely available for download back then. 700mb
divx fits perfectly on cd and is perfect for playing in the divx/dvdplayers that
are available in your local store.
either way: if it's not too much trouble for the releasegroups, i'd say 'let the
downloader decide which one he wants' and simply release both versions until the
end of time (read 2012 )

i prefer the 700mb files over the 350mb any day of the week! i h.a.t.e. those
350mb videos. release groups should ban those fuckin low quality videos from the
internet comunity. they are a complete waste of bandwidth!
who wants to waste time downloading those damn low ass resolution low ass
quality videos where you can't see shit.
besides, you don't need a hdmi tv... a regular hdtv tv is enough since hr hdtv
videos are 960x540 res.
... that's what i think.
because some people don't give a crap if it is the best ever quality or not;
they just want to watch the episode and not have to wait 10 hours for it to
download.

has answered your question.

carnifix and co : stfu, asshole. hr releases rock, and so do the 720p ones. i
download what i want, and i buy the dvds if i want (hd > dvd, by the way). so
stop whining like babygirls.
oh, and even on a 17\" monitor, you can see the difference between the 350 mb
releases and the other ones. if you don't have golf balls in your eye sockets,
that is.
god, are people here becoming nuts or what??

hate these hi-res things! hd tv may be coming, but the downloaders bandwidth is not. i normal would
thank the downloader for trying...but, take a look at the comments...users don't like this!!!!

enjoyed it.

carnifix : i don't archive them, i just want quality. and guess what, i buy dvds
too.
cheapass to fucktard whiner, over.
i was gonna download this release, but hey, what the heck... it'll be 720p or
transport stream, in your honor! :-d

i'd rather be considered a fucktard whiner than a cheepass, any day of the week.
you people are going to be the death of torrents, always insisting that you get
the best possible quality, which means the studios have no insentive to make
desired tv because they aren't going to make money.
ding dong!
hear that? it's the bells tolling the death of torrents.

i agree with gatefan.
i have deleated all my 350mb files and replaced them with the larger 700+mb
files. i find that the videos play better on my 42" monitor.
besides, i have a 24 meg downstream link with no limts.
