what a crap show that was. cliched characters, awful action sequence and even
worse moral messages. this is more like the everyday typical american crap.

very very bad.
bad acting, bad script. i dont mind that 'wrong history, wrong moral message'
stuff, its a fiction, but still it simply suck.
imagine every episode will be similar, treasure, history, bad guys, fight, end.

like watching indiana jones copied bad into tv show, mixed with bad csi copy

i actually like this.

the anti-christian theme amounts to suggesting that fanatical, murderous,
medieval thuggery might not be the best way to convey the christian message of
peace, forgiveness and tolerance to a wider audience.

one of my favourite phases about british story telling is, it\'s a ripping good
yarn. it seems to apply.

don\'t expect to learn any history here. its history is as accurate as the itv
series primeval\'s paleontology.

lot\'s of ancient conspiracy, arcane subplots and moustache twirling villains.

the knights templar? can the free masons and the illuminati be far behind?
druidic bog sacrifices in regency bath? alistair crowley\'s real agenda? arthur\'s
role in conversion of constantine? who knows where this can go!

i could be wrong, but i got the impression that the christian templer knight
theme, was just part of the episodes story and not the theme of the series.
guess i'll find out next episode.

i liked it. i agree, from the previews the templar thing was just for this
week's case. next week is much different. i found the religious thing to be of
no consequence even though it was a big part of the story line. it didn't feel
like it was making a statement, just that it was a means to an end (maybe
because i don't take religion very seriously).

i found this show interesting, but i'm in the us so my standards are likely to
not be as high as the people in the uk (i liked the palace). i thought the
character personalities fit together well. it had the right combination of
history and action for me. okay, so maybe it's not the best written show in the
world, but it's a heck of a lot better than the crappy reality/game shows that
are being shoved down our throats this summer.

i hope they continue to offer it.

some people above got it right, this is not anti-christian. it merely shows one aspect of the religion(the
radical one). maybe some of the characters are anti-christian, but that's just those characters. it doesn't
mean the whole show is "bad".

my views have nothing to do with the content, views or anything that could
pass as a subplot...

this show is one of the worst i have ever seen, yet i admit i watched it all.
this may be beacuse it was so bad, it was funny to think the actors actually
delivered the lines and stayed on set.

then again i may have just been stupified by it all, too dumbstruct to move
until now.

i notice none of you that have said you will give it a go have commented
since. i guess it may be several days before you get over the shock of it all.

"we have a medieval riddle to solve!" "so we start digging!"

yet another englishman hangs his head in shame

nevermind all the religious crap, one way or the other. the show was just bad, i
sat there amazed by just how awful it was,
how the hell did it even get commissioned?
my license fee went on the making of that

i love actual study of the bible. conversely i hate what what most people
"claiming to be christian" have done through the ages. crusades anyone??? i was
very intrigued to watch this show from the start, especially with it's big
"christian" conflict in the first episode. hell yeah! make fun of christian
warmongers!!!! we know they existed in the past and we know they exist now,,,,eh
em "bush" anyone? ok ok i apologize, for "political correctness". i found it
equally amazing that in this first episode of the show the sacred name of god
"jehovah", though usually unuttered because of it's sacredness, was expressed in
an apparent "blasphemed" way when one of the secondary characters proposed going
to the bar.

as an archaeologist, i have just as many beefs with this show, and now watch it
purely because my housemate and i get into hysterics over how inaccurate it is!
when you stop taking it seriously or as an insult to your profession/religion,
it becomes much more entertaining!

is this a case of the bbc copying the us show bones? it usually flows from east
to west.

aside from the fact that the female leads in both shows are obnoxious, this bears very little
resemblance to bones.
