well that took awhile to be posted! oh well... happy now 🙂

if you normally use mpeg4 modifier to unpack the bitstream to play on a
standalone player, this file fails to load in mpeg4 modifier. the error message
is it is not an mpeg4 file (startcode missing).

just wanted to give a heads up to standalone users.

oh, and just to save the flurry of immininent tamagotchi's.

i don't know of any stanalone users that have to do that, well, there's you...

don't you mean 'don't know' someone? well as i said i do now, -you, unless,
by a standalone player you are refering to one of those knockoff ipods with a
2 inch screen, why would you bother to re-encode to a mp4 format. every stand
alone player i have researched/heard of/seen/used if it says .mp4 it will play
divx and xvid un-converted, that is, the ones that dont fit in your pocket

i burnt to disc and its badly out of sinc after 25 mins ☹️ plays fine with vlc
tho

scifi3001: mpeg4modifier has nothing to with the .mp4 format, mpeg4modifier
removes the packed-bitstream switch on mpeg4 asp files (xvid/divx4 etc) (the
.mp4 files are mpeg4 avc encoded files) which some standalone divx/dvd players
can't handle. it does it without reencoding the entire file.

the file is corrupted at 25:00, thats the reason for mpeg4modifier to fail, and
of course some media players could suffer audio out of sinc.

yeah, any hope for a proper? it froze at 25 mins on my dvd player as well.

yeah this really needs a proper. because this is kind of problem definetely
deserves a proper. unlike some that get propered without any reason. but this
needs a proper real bad!

with the exception of nelladarren's comment about the cliffhangar (which is
pretty much a standard thing at the end of a season so it isn't really a
spoiler) i don't see any actual "discussion" or comments about the episode.
