i agree , dr who has become much more of a show aimed at the kiddies market .i
am finding the plots are becoming less and less compelling as they become more
and more infantile.
thank you! a comment from somebody with a brain! getting awfully tired of people
who seem to forget that dw is actually aimed at kids - just check out the bbc
site and it's pretty freaking obvious.
"zomg! i'm a thirty-five year old man and don't find the aliens as scary or the
storylines as cool as i did when i was ten. oh the horror! it must be the show,
not the fact that i now think like an adult, not a kid."
but then i've got a thing for redheads with nice racks.
as for the doctor's assistants, i think they're all fairly interchangeable. i'm
just irritated that piper is universally considered so awesome in the role. she
was no better or worse than anyone we've had before or since, imo.
i'm with dj pigg on this one i've seen a lot of doctor who in my life and i think catherine tate is by for
the worst assistant of them all. but i hate martha jones more, she goes from doctor to soldier what the
hell is up with that. and wasn't second season in the two parter where the cybermen travel from the
other dimension. she was the black chick that was one of the first to be taken over. hell i wish kylie
monique would have been the new assistant and she's a hell of lot hotter then tate. okay done with
this rant.

probably got a lot too do with the fact that she was the first assistant in the
new series and she did it for a while. every following assistant is compared
with her.
furthermore every assistant is completely different so comparing is difficult
and at least partly a matter of taste. at first i was irritated by the behaviour
of tate too but as the season progresses see seems to become more interesting
than irritating.
i think we also should realize that she is different with the other assistants
in another aspect. rose and martha were more uncertain characters at the
beginning and grew into strong woman during the seasons. tate is already a
strong minded woman to start with. giving the doctor a completely different kind
of headaches. ๐ lets see where this leads shall we.

***** it's obvious to me that the concept of dr.who is aimed to the young
generation.
what i was saying smart ass is that allot of previous episodes were more
intelligent and quite watchable to the young and young at heart.
it's obvious to me that the concept of dr.who is aimed to the young generation
but that doesn't mean that the plots should be dumbed down to the point of
stupidity.
what i was trying to say is that here have been many great episodes of dr. who,
but that in my opinion this seasons haven't been the best so far. the plots lack
real imagination, to the point where i think even kids would think their
intelligence is being insulted and character development is almost non existent.
