The Andromeda Strain 2008 Part1 WS PDTV XviD-FoV

hey is this based on the original movie from way back? i watched that, and that
was awesome, can anyone say if this is as good or better then the original? 😲)

this was a decent update to the story, i never really liked the film as it was
too linear but this pulls it's weight.

i guess a good question would be, if a&e planned on playing this over 2 nights,
is showcase in au (what this was ripped from) going to do the same?

great tv movie, cant wait for the second part. it's just like the old movie
only with nextgen graphics and equipment 😉

this really was a good show as a fan of the original i thought it would suck
but it was really movie can't wait for part 2

i rarely comment on anything here, but i got to say this was one the best
scifi mini series i watched in quite a while! whoever said this was a cheap
copy cat either didn't really watch it or is under the effect of the andromeda
strain 🙂

it's got jin 🙂 a very good cast, very good production values and top notch
special effects.. of course the story is excellent..

roll on the second eppisode asap 🙂

good translation from the book, and a great update from the original movie. all
the characters are pretty believable (although the president seems to be doing a
jfk impression) and the special effects are as good as a theatrical release (no
cheesy scf-fi channel effects). looking forward to seeing part 2 whenever it
becomes available. michael crichton should be proud of this version.

9/10 rating for me. 8)

next airing is on showcase (shotime's au channel)at 8:30 4/28/08. so we should
have our next copy sometime next sunday night or monday morning.

idk if i want to dl this and get drawn into another mini series just to be
disappointed in the end, like with "john adams" -- not that "john adams" wasn't
a good mini series... it's just that the final freakin' episode wasn't
released! :@

having not read the book or watched the original i found this to be very good.
i intend to watch the original before the second episode so i may become
disheartened but right now i found this to be an exciting show while there has
been so much disinterest in sci-fi shows (jericho ending, short run of kings of
sci-fi[or whatever it was called], battlestar final series).
rock on with the sci-fi.

i thought it was ok...i found the violence very ott and unreal (bloomin' cgi
effects again) - e.g. the chainsaw bit. and i don't think this is a
spoiler...but the eagle made me laugh.

any idea when the second part will be posted? i just finished watching the first
part and i really hope i dont have to wait till may 27 to see the ending.

ok, so now i do think i gotta wait till may for the second part, just saw the
a&e website wait a whole month now? 😲|

i really enjoyed this show, was fantastic very entertaining :-)
