Fishing is a massively popular global sport. Why? It's all about tactics, having specialist knowledge and being able to translate that into a catch. However, a big part of the thrill is to be cut off from the daily grind, being out there in the natural world, battling your wits against your prey. This series really captures that experience. Each episode will be a new challenge: a fresh location in which presenter Thom Hunt is challenged by an online follower to seek different species of fish in a set time limit. Naturally the challenges won't be easy - he'll go to a beautiful spot in the middle of winter or hunt for European fish when no-one can catch. There is a strong sense of purpose about the series. Each of the three locations in each episode will be hard to access, and none of the fishing species will be easy to land.
