i only watch it for the who died in the last year bit đ
oh, thank god i'm not alone! i thought i was some kind of sick-o for
considering the obits the best part! (the only other must-see element is the
opening credits.)
yeah i agree - i was looking fwd to jon stewarts intro/comedy and he didn't
make me laugh as much as 2 years ago.
okay was it just me or is there no funny intro movie for this years oscars? it
starts with a collage of characters from all the movies and then goes into jon
stewart appearing on stage. last year with ellen they had people talk about
their roles in movies and the year before with jon they had him in bed with a
few celebs and then trying to get them all to host the oscars, so for those of
you who watched it live - did aaf cut it off or was there just no intro video
like that?
i only watched the last 1 hour or so live (beacause i fell a sleep during e!'s
red carpet special), but it was boring!!! i almost fell a sleep again, since
it aired in the night in my time zone. i'm downloading it because i want to
add it to my collection, but i probably won't watch it again. maybe i'll watch
the intro, and the wins for the bourne ultimatum. but i won't bother with the
rest.
seacrest is such a douchebag. he has his fingers in so many different things
and yet he is a talentless dick.
best moment of the night was gary busey going in for the kill on seacrest and
scaring the crap outta jennifer garner - i don't even think she knew who he
was! hahahaha best moment ever!

the only bit i don't like about the obits is the clapping. it just becomes a
popularity contest with clapping becoming louder with more famous dead people.
also they included heath ledger but no brad renfro even though they died like a
week apart.
i think the reason there wasnt a funny opening skit was because it was only
confirmed like two weeks before the event that it was actually taking place! two
weeks is not long at all for people to write, shoot, edit & do god knows what
else happens in production. i guess we should be greatful it was on at all, even
though it was not up to the standard it normally is. i think we have the wga
strike to thank for that! (please dont take that last comment on the strike a go
at the writers, they were totally right to strike, isnt that what a union is for?)
wow that was the worst most boring unfunny thing i've watched in a long time.
i thought, hey, jon stewart, it should be fun but alas, no, snoozeville. âšī¸
don't waste your bandwidth. also, ads, not funny, annoying.
