Well, folks.... It appears that my favorite and go to site Torrentgalaxy might
have been shut down...This time for good too! It comes at a time when
more and more, long standing torrenting sites are facing the chopping
block! I know for me, I can only hope that it's a temporary thing but reports
everywhere state that Torrentgalaxy is gone forever! This is sad, truly
heartbreaking because I absolutely loved their community and frequently
spent countless hours there! I will keep my fingers crossed and hope that
something good comes from this but I don't have good feelings at all
about their fate at this point!

I am okay with this...I pretty much only used it for music DL's certain tv shows and convenient movies. But having to deal with
the fence was too much...plus the mods were corrupt. There are still plenty of sources for content!

I can only hope that this is not permanent. TGX is/was one of the best setup sites I have ever seen. I really hope it

@ RatsoBaby, Me too! I know not everybody likes it but I really do and
there's a lot of cool people that I've gotten to know over there. It's way
more than a torrent site, at least for me anyways. Everybody's got their
own opinion and that's awesome because well, everyone's entitled to that.
I've been always treated great by those mods and staff over there and
they're people just like you and me... Just saying, it will be sad if they are
gone for good. Of course there's content available elsewhere, that's just
going to continue and is way too big of a thing, file sharing that is, to just
cease to continue, in the absence of one particular website. In closing, all I
was trying to portray in this thread, to begin with, is that yeah, the site
seems to be down, for now, maybe for the foreseeable future but if that
were to be the case, I would be sad to see them go. I've had some great
experiences with them, going on almost three years now and hopefully
they find their footing and rise again!

I couldn't agree more. Not everyone does like it, and there are some outspoken members, but hey, thats OK. What I
like is the layout, and the ease of finding things. Some of the uploaders are really good and answer questions readily.
Very helpful all round. Fingers crossed its not permanent.

I hope so too, but I have seen too many sites rise to the same popularity of TGx, then get hit by the powers that be,
and get taken out. Always good to have backup plans in place.

Don't sweat the small stuff! Would you like to have a break out session,
privately and discuss why it bothers you that I use proper grammar and
use of the english language but just not in the way you would have it used?

Had a message previously about bad/out of date SSL certificate. Maybe they're just sorting that.
They had a patch in June and they came back. Pretty sure they will come back and not disappear.
and yes, GalaxyFence and judging you by peers is a load of bullsh1t. Nobody else does that. What's their glitch ?
It's not like they are being DDOSed 24/7.
