i think previously someone said run it through a filter or something like that,
this is not the first time. you shouldn't have to use vlc.

i have the same thing, terminator and prison break work fine though.

some players will have audio but no picture & some dont work at all. have
used the divx player that comes with divx package and this works fine work
video & audio.
