there are no subs on the german and italian parts.

i'll echo scarystuff above. there are long stretches of audio of german (?)
and italian persons speaking their respective languages...but no english
subtitles. this show is obviously an english-language production, with english
narrative. there should be subtitles.

i third.

the german one(at 12min) says that the machine got stuck cause the rocks got
weak cause water was running through it for millions of years. so that the stone
is like sandstone and it all dropped onto the machine and there also was water
floating down the machine.
at 13 mins he says that they are blasting a tunnel through to the drilling machine.
14:30 he says that their goal is to find out where they might have any problems
with the rocks.
15 nothig realy important.
17:16 that its hard to work in there.
19-32 no idea 😉
33:10 it will take about 3 more months to free the machine
34-44 italian...
44 she likes the tunnel cause the traffic wont be so bad if the tunnel is there.

yeah, i too love these discovery programmes, and wish there were more uploaded.
these kings of construction ones are weird though, as that's the second episode
which featured somebody speaking a non-english language that wasn't subbed or
dubbed. i thought maybe it was an unfinished version they had uploaded, but it
seems unlikely....

anyway, no big deal, the show's still great and you can kinda get the gist of
what they're saying, especially with ffchen helping out! :-d

the reason for this, i would quess, is because it's ripped from a digital
source where the subtitles is transmitted on a different feed. so the european
and asian discovery channels doesn't have to hear or see the english dub/sub.
