imo things will start to get a little better once the doctor who crossover
starts in episode 6. i personally have enjoyed this season but it can be slow
at times.
for those not in the know, martha will be in 3 episodes and is due to appear in
episode 6. then she will appear in doctor who again around the middle of season
4.
best part is, bbc3 will be showing episode 6 next wednesday directly after the
bbc2 showing of episode 5. 2x tw in one night! 🙂 no complaints here! (unless
it doesn't get put online of course lol)
i thought the last episode (to the last man) was brilliant. i'm a sucker for
the temporal type shows.
and as for all the bisexuality, i also think that's brilliant. jack comes from
a different time where, if it's attractive, you go for it. they see past gender
as we (hopefully) see past color of skin.
they also don't get out much so probably just do each other on a regular basis.
probably doesn't help that everyone that works at torchwood is gorgeous.
i'm new to torchwood, but i agree w/ most of you. there is just too much queer
stuff here. this would be a much bigger hit w the audience if there wasn't so
much gay stuff. i do love torchwood though and i have nothing against gay
people, but keep this stuff at home. russell t davis is a great writer, but he
shouldn't be incorporating his personal life into what we watch. even though
this show is for adults, a lot of kids still watch it. so this is not setting
a good example for them. jack is from the future, but that doesn't mean that
in the future being gay is accepted. gays are not accepted in the military.
i've been catching up on series one and i'm almost up to date on series two.
most of the episodes have been great. i love tosh. she is so hot and it was
such a turn-on watching her kiss another woman in series one.

i\'m going to stop short of calling you a homophobe, but damn you\'re pretty
narrow minded. nothing against gays as long as they stay out of view and don\'t
expect the be accepted?
firstly, great writing is entirely about incorporating your personal life into
the story. most great writers would say it\'s the most important part.
second. kids don\'t need to be protected from gay positive views on television,
and the fact that you consider it a bad example leads me to believe you weren\'t
being terribly forthright about having \"nothing against gay people.\" i happen to
think tw is a wonderful role model for the millions of gay and straight kids
(and adults) out there.
i gotta tell you, i\'ve seen the future, and the gay is here to stay. no matter
how queasy it makes people like you feel (unless it\'s girl on girl, which of
course isn\'t really considered gay by insecure heterosexual males.)
i do agree with you that it would have a higher viewership here in the us if it
didn\'t have the gay stuff. i don\'t think that holds true for the rest of the
(more enlightened) world. thankfully.
now an actual comment on the episode. liked the story an awful lot, but the
dialogue and acting wasn\'t quite up to par. little too melodramatic, but then
this is a line that torchwood dances on sometimes. too much in this episode.
barrowman and myles were particularly bad offenders.
