dont think so. xbox 360 can only use a few codecs (last update did gave some
new codes like divx). and you would still need a windows pc for the sharing
anyway.

yeah, i currently have my xbox networked, and i'm streaming the (350mb) files
as it is. i was just wondering if i took the time to download one of these
720p files, if it would play. i guess maybe the only way to know for sure is
to download one and try it.
you can't play these files on the 360 without converting them to an mp4 file
first. fortunately you can do this without re-encoding the file, so it takes
about 15 minutes or so to convert, rather than hours for re-encoding.
you'll need gotsent (http://sentry23.googlepages.com/) , which converts the mkv
file to an mp4, which plays back on the 360 and the ps3. you'll lose surround
sound as the 360 can only do 2-channel mp4s (stereo), but i did it with the
second episode of the terminator here and it worked fine. i've also converted
and episode of 720p firefly and it worked fine too.

i own a modded xbox and you unfortunately can`t play 720p on the xmbc
you can play the hr hdtv (540p) files just fine on the original xbox. the
original xbox can also play 720p just fine, but the catch is it can't handle
the very cpu dependant x264/h264 codec which is what pretty much every 720p
release uses. you'd have to convert it to dvix/xvid or some other format as
the xbox just can't handle x264. it will play x264 content but it'll lag a
lot, it's not worth doing.
have you tried tversity yet?
i use it with my ps3 but ive seen xbox360 too in settings, it takes any file
with any resolution (auto convert while stream with codec of choise)
makes cool wifi home entertainment =d
