700 mb can dissappear forever if u ask me. 350 and 1100 mb is good.
if u watch on small pc monitor (15-22") u do the 350mb version, if u watch on
hdtv (23"+) then u do 720p

there are no spoilers in this post, i'm just talking about a technical issue...
i've watched this 720p version, but i'll be downloading the 350mb xor releases
in the future.
why? because although the picture is fantastic, the sound is terrible. this is
true for many of the previous high definition releases with 5.1 audio, but
some of them have been fine. the audio is compressed too much (not related to
file compression or encoding) and it makes the music and sound effects the
same volume as people speaking. and because it's so squashed, the bass is
increased a lot which makes it difficult to make out what people are saying
sometimes. (the scene in the rain with jack and kate at the end is a good
example!)
play it alongside the good audio in
lost.s04e00.past.present.and.future.real.repack.hdtv.xvid-xor and you'll hear
the difference in clarity and volume.
yes, i am a fucking fussy bastard at something which is free. but i have a
feeling that the capper of the show just needs to turn off any kind
of "normalisation" option for the audio before encoding.
i'll get back in to my cave now...

what about a 720 avi - the mkv file sucks big time!
you need a really powerful computer to run the fretting thing.
please post a more useful avi file from now on.

yeah yeah yeah....we have heard this before. doesn't change the fact that people
with smaller computers or those that watch through their x-box360 can't play the
obscure .mkv files.
so i too miss the 700mb hr-xvid.

the 700mb is perfect. this version has the quality of the 350mb and of the 720p.
its an avi file, its work on all the computer, its easy to use, the file is not too big, you can convert it on
dvd, use it on movie maker, etc... its not the case for the mkv file. but the 700mb has also a great
image, almost like the 720p ( they are more difference between the 350mb and the 700 than between
the 700mb and the 720p imo ) and a better sound, like the 350mb. the 700mb is just perfect. please
dont give up on the 700mb version !
