thanks death, i would happily download the slightly lower quality dsr rip if
it came free of on screen junk instead of waiting for the hd rip, as it is
only the on screen junk that generally has me waiting for the hd rip so it
sucks when the hd rip has the junk. but a small sky logo is neither here or
there, at least compared to junk that sometimes appears to fill up a fifth or
more of the screen, not to mention how incredibly distracting it is. plus,
even though i still tend to buy the dvd sets of the series i really like,
because i just like having the dvds of the good stuff, having an initial good
cleanish rip means i don't have to bother wasting time ripping it again from
the dvd to put on my media nas.
regarding the sky hd episodes vs the scifi hd episodes, has anyone else noticed
eps from sky are sped up by about 2%? the voices are higher pitched than the
scifi releases. do you think it's because of the pal conversion or something? i
experienced this weirdness with battlestar galactica episodes, as well. i found
that if i slowed them down to about 98% playspeed it made things normal.
