the 1st 2eps have been leaked, i\'ve heard rumours of the whole season but only
have been able to find the 1st 2eps, if you look round you find them. still get
this though as it will be better quality.

episode's 1,2,5,6 & 7 appear to be on the piratebay. i haven't downloaded them
myself so can't comment if they are real or not and the quality....

i grabbed ep 1 about a week ago from another site and the quality was fine.
the only thing i wondered is that it is 4:3 not widescreen and i have no idea if
that is how it is broadcast or not.

the last couple of years had screeners of the entire run leaked early, so it's
not inconceivable this one will be too.
the 5x01 `pre-air` rip floating around from last week was from the hbo on
demand service, which will continue to have the eps available a week before
each broadcast airing.
season 5 is in 4:3 deliberately to stay consistent with the past seasons.

hbo and showtime stuff usually have more episodes complete at one time (compared to regular channels)
so more leaks occur. this is also why most of them get finished airing despite the writer's strike.

this is probably the best show ever made in the us.
the best way to watch it is to watch two or three episodes at a time or even
more because the writing is so good that it's losing some of its impact with
weekly episodes. but who has the patience to wait until the season is over.

couldn't agree with the above poster more... i had never watched the wire until
a few weeks ago... i sat down and ended up doing a season/series a day, and i
think that is the only way to watch it...

i still wanna watch the dvd of season 4 , before i start with this.... i am
not even convinced i got the "real" last episode , coz i watched all those pre-
airings....and then there was all this confusion over episode 13 , being 700
mb and not turning up for ages....
so i found myself a reason to wait with season 5 , coz the dvd wont be in till
about april ๐
but honestly , this is the friggin best tv ive ever watched .... have been
addicted since season 2 now , and i cant help myself but wonder , if anything
in european tv (i am from germany) will ever match these standards... but
prolly not ๐

i just finished watching episode 2...which i got from isohunt.com and i must say
that it was 1 of the finest 60 mins of the wire i have ever seen...it was
fucking phenomenal...i recommend to all of you to go get it now...don't wait
till next week....mcnulty is back!!!!!

i personally disagree with watching more than 2 episodes a day. the wire is a
show that is so deep that you need that one week to analyze the brilliance of
what you just saw. that way, imo, you get more out of the series as you watch
it. now, especially with the show in it's final season, don't you want to savor it?
