The Wire S05 Special The Last Word WS PDTV XviD-2HD

can anyone tell me about this ? the eztv show list says series 5 of the wire is
pending. what with the wga strike and the dearth of quality dramas it would be
blinking brilliant if the wire was gonna return to our screens in the imminent
future.

season 5 seems to be on schedule, at least for the first 4 episodes: see

i had to stop watching, because i felt that it was giving away too much of the
plot. but it was funny to briefly hear dominic west speaking in his native
british accent at the very beginning of the program.

mega cheers for the quality info folks ! i'm so over exicted about season 5
that i dare not type it's name into google. someones bound to give something
away and i don't want any femto second of it ruined for me.

like mazette said, the episodes are already all finished, so the writer's
strike won't be hurting our beloved wire 🙂 the season was shortened to ten
episodes instead of the usual 12-13, but that was announced way back in
february.

and if you thought it was weird hearing mcnulty speaking with a british
accent, you should hear stringer bell. i couldn't even believe it the first
time. (note: stringer isn't in the special, and there's no reason to believe
that there will be any zombie-stringer or flashback-stringer in the show. i
heard his accent in an interview.)

the mayor also has a brit(?) accent.

no spoilers in this at all. watch away. in fact, it's in many ways more a
documentary on the state of newspapers today. at least half the interviewees
are reporters like jacob weisberg and joe klein. no lie.

it is a synopsis of the new series. i'd give this a giant spoiler warning. 26
mins of summary. i watched about 2 mins and stopped. i don't recommend it for
true "wire" fans.

you watched for 2 minutes and judge it a "synopsis" of season five? silly.
"synopsis" means "a brief summary of the plot," and this special doesn't even
remotely do this. having watched it, in its entirety, i have no idea what the
plot of the season is, apart from the fact that its focus this time is the
baltimore sun newspaper, much as previous seasons focused on baltimore schools,
shipping, and politics. and i think wire fans should watch this. i think it
explains why the producers of the wire have chosen this focus for this season.

there was one pretty decent spoiler in there though, if you listen hard and join
the dots... or it could just be a very cleverly presented ruse... either way...
cannae wait for s5 to kick me in the arse...

hi,

i was wondering if there is a chance to re-up the first 3 seasons somehow or
point me to someplace where i can download them, i watched s1 e1-3 and i`m
hooked, but the quality of all the torrents is horrible to say the least. i
checked most of the major sites amd downloaded 1 ep of each torrent to test
it, but with no success so far. i found a dvd rip of s1 an hour ago (1 ep =
700mb), which i am downloading right now, but there`s no similar torrent for
s2 and 3... help would be much appreciated! thanx...

regarding the mini and pirate links: as i said above, i dl a lot of episodes
from these sources, but the quality just isnt worth dl & watching a whole
season (= the 350mb episodes in most of the releases is way below "eztv-350
standard"), thats why i posted and asked...

edit: checked most of the available torrents and for season 2 thomilla looks
good, and topaz for season 3 (although both r not good enough to keep imo).
still havent found a good s4 though.

anyone seen s5e03 and s05e04? 1,2,5,6,7 and available on isohunt and piratebay.

they don't seem to exist, the extra episodes that are posted seem to be half-
assed screeners (i.e. e07 exists in three parts) and anyone who posts them
disappears.
