im experiencing audio sync problems

windows vista, windows media player 11, divx latest version

no problems with any other video files, including others created by bia

why is it always blamed on codec configuration, and why is vlc always suggested
as a solution, i should be able to play video files in the player i prefer :-)

sync problem is consistent throughout this episode, a faction of a second out,
but noticeable

i will try jiggling the audio in virtualdub

tried ...

wmp11
winamp
realplayer
quicktime
nero showtime

and vlc

all of them show the same audio out of sync problem

i rest my case !

audio is out of sync.

this is how you fix the sync problem.

use virtualdubmod
and then klick on streams - stream list (right klick the audio file)
interleave - delay audio track by "-300" and save the video as direct stream
copy and you would be good to go. 🙂

vlc has a great backend. plays everything. but the gui is the worst of any
player i\'ve ever tried. ever. and that includes the first vcr i ever owned...
one of those old top-loading things that ate tapes and required an engineering
master\'s just to set the clock. yes, vlc\'s gui is worse than that. vlc\'s gui
is featured in one of the levels of hell. vlc\'s gui rips out your eyes and
eats them and somehow forces you to watch while it does so. that\'s how bad
vlc\'s gui is. it kills everyone you love and leaves you alive. then it brings
everyone you love back and kills them again. vlc\'s gui revels in your pain.

media player classic stands for truth and justice. it saves the day at the best
possible moment. media player classic loves you eternally and shows you the
light. mpc is heroic. when there\'s only one set of footprints on the sand,
those are the times that mpc was carrying you. mpc stood beside you when you
graduated from high school. mpc will win the presidency of the united states of
america. mpc is neither democrat nor republican. mpc looks at vlc and feels
sorrow for a player that has lost its way.

in short: vlc = crap. mpc ftw.

i have to agree that the vlc frontend is total rubbish. mpc is my fav media
player classic but it is by no means perfect, it still needs work.

i did it with avi-mux and it worked perfectly, i think u guessed(?) the -300ms
right, thanks 🙂

i hadn't realised that virtualdub didnt have the (easy) ability to resync
now i've downloaded virtualdubmod aswell

i'm humbled.. indeed mpc has shown itself to be a player amongst players, but i
thought myself alone. i thought myself apart from a kin i longed for...

i was tormented by the concepts and wants of woeful programmers, at the whims of
lesser beings and at the contempt of forceful and expensive limits; yet mpc has
taken away the pain.. the suffering.. the sheer stupidity.

ease of interface, simplicity of use, and sheer accessability - unique..

usability of mouse, accentuated with the trust of keyboard - when such things
should be claimed by older and experienced warez, but were not - wonderful.

yes, mpc is a player among players. a ware amongst warez.

and - it even handles my gumpy fat fingers, so it must be bit of orrite !! 🙂
